Telling you. He’s waiting for Game 82 to score and that hot streak will extend into the playoffs, just like Bobby Ryan in 2017.
He’s pulling a Gronk and saving them for the playoffs

Caps going to be 110 million in 2 to 3 years. He scores at a 20 goal pace. Thats not very much money. He is also a good two way player. Finishes all his checks. The goals are going to go in. It takes time. Everyone here hated Amadio and Perron at the start too.
Yes if only Amadio got the minutes Z did!
Oh wait, last 14 games since Zetterlund has been here their TOI over that span is 7 seconds different. 189:04 vs 188:57. Zetterlund has had very few looks on the PP.
So sorry, who’s got the bad take again?
Amadio has great chemistry with his line and that chemistry wasn’t built overnight. And Amadio has been great and is a solid two way player. So please don’t use his name in the same sentence as Gaudette it’s insulting to him.
Last night was by far his worst game since being moved up from the fourth line, but then again, nobody outside of Forsberg and Sanderson had particularly strong games.I was at the game yesterday and watching him up close wasn’t better than watching him from far.
He’s not a top 6 player. He’s also not a bottom 6 player. He’s just there. Can’t wait for Tkachuk to be healthy and back and running.

The reality is he's adjusting to new linemates and a new system, for some guys it will take time, I imagine the same people who complained about how bad a fit Amadio was early in the season are the ones complaining about Zetterlund right now.
Ok, you're the exception, good for you? Still think you are very wrong on Zetterlund, I guess time will tell.Go in my post history I never complained about Amadio. In fact I was one of the few ones who was constantly defending him.

I'm no Gaudette fan and can't wait until he's replaced by an actual 4th liner next year, but all Zetterlund has accomplished thus far with Ottawa is ensuring that whatever line he's on is less effective than it was before. The 4th line is decent with Amadio or even Crookshank, and Stutzle went from a consecutive game point scoring streak to producing like a 3rd liner.
Zetterlund will start cashing in eventually, but he's a middle 6 player at best and might be our least useful player in the starting lineup right now. That includes Gaudette and Crookshank. He looks a bit dumb right now to be honest

I don’t think Zetterlund is a fair scapegoat of Stutzle play. Stu has struggled with many line mates since the hair cut point streak ended. Neither is it solely his fault there isn’t instant chemistry with the line he’s inserted into, sometimes with no practice time between games.
It’s fair to say Zetterlund is a middling player. He is good depth at middle six position and hasn’t fit in yet.
But the fact we have people who think the solution is to sit him after being traded at deadline and the team overall hasn’t played great outside of a few games is crazy. If the team was rolling it would be easier for an outsider to come in and make an immediate impact.
Now is the time to give him reps and find that fit. If he doesn’t then he can go back to the 4th line and be ready to jump in when an injury inevitably comes. That depth is a luxury as it’s been clear for 40 games that Gaudette and Highmore will get obliterated on away ice when we don’t control the matchups, or play like 4 min.
Don’t even remember what I said. I still like zetterland. I really like his game. Not a goal scorer tho.@Burrowsaurus You got heckled and rediculed by cowards for being wise early on in this thread.
You deserve some props.
Everyone is born with a brain, not everyone use their brain.
Cheers.

I say a lot of things. Sometimes I’ll be right.
It's interesting how you instantly talk about what Amadio did before coming to Ottawa but with Zetterlund limit it to just his time here, different rules for different players it seems...But based on what? Amadio had a Cup and was a big part of that team - what has Zetterlund done ever in his time in Ottawa to make you think he’s what you think he is and is whatever you’re implying he is - did you even know this players game before he came here? He has 1 point in 14 games. If you’re judging it with your eyes you have a player with a high motor, not a great feel for the game but lots of heart and some
Skill but hasn’t found a productive fit on any line in Ottawa - so do you pay for a depth winger or a top 6 winger as you imply he is?
I remember being told that we should stay patient and not be to quick to judge Zach Sanford as well.
In his 1st 11 games he had 1 assist
His ice time picked up a bit and he scored 5 in his next 5 games including a hat trick -- did we have something?
Then he went 12 games with 1 assist and didn't score again for 15 games
He played 62 games with the Sens in 2021-22 and was moved to the Jets for a 5th round pick where he added 4 assists
With the Sens he had 86 minutes of PP time scoring 1g and 2 assists
He finished the year with 9 goals and 12 assists averaging 14:18 TOI
Since then he had seasons of 16, 29, 11 and 18 games played.
Sanford showed no flashes. Had no motor and never scored 20 ever in the league I don't think they are really comparable. Zetterlund could have quite a few more points if stutzle started shooting the puck. Maybe some rebound goals....I remember being told that we should stay patient and not be to quick to judge Zach Sanford as well.

Watching the game today and deciding that Zetterlund is the issue between him and Stutzle is an interesting perspective.Stutzle isn’t easy to play with. That’s why he has such great chemistry with Brady, Brady doesn’t want the puck until he’s in the offensive zone and Timmy gives you surprise pucks in every part of the ice and Brady has such a high IQ and such a great feel for the offensive game and is underrated playmaker - Brady can create offense from any postion in the O zone, Stu gives thise same pucks to Zetterlund and other offensive players and they aren’t ready for them or arent used to being in those parts of the ice and that’s why so many teammates don’t look good with Timmy. Gaudette did but outside of him and Brady theres not a long list of Sens you’d say have natural offensive chemistry with #18
