To that I say they are not all going to become equally well-rounded. The Bruins for the most part have insisted their young players become complete players and play a certain way whether or not that complements their actual skills. I am not saying they shouldn't expect improvement, but Merk in particular has become a better player from when he was signed so I believe they should give him the opportunity to play without demanding that he be Patrice Bergeron in the center spot.Every player who is ever drafted or sign is flawed and needs to become something more to make it in the NHL (OK, not Sid Crosby)
You draft/sign a player because they have a skillset and you believe they can augment that skillset and become well rounded players
He played 1 year D1 at Ohio St.
Yeah my bad, I thought he did his four there. Doesn't change my point of view any, though.
