No way. They're dying for another dynamic player offensively. Even if he gives just a spark it's desperately needed.Showcase reason only.

You are reaching for the stars, my friend. I never always bought into the Bruins prospect pool being so weak, my mistake, I would move any of them if it would help this team, because my believe is none of them will help this team, long term. I hope you get your spark at least. No way. They're dying for another dynamic player offensively. Even if he gives just a spark it's desperately needed.
Stunned to see him in but he was solidA really nice touch for the Bruins to call him up with his family in town from Sweden. Players notice that stuff and it’s a great example of the culture.
They are indeed and Lysell very likely could be part of that package that brings one in.No way. They're dying for another dynamic player offensively. Even if he gives just a spark it's desperately needed.
He was a big part of the first goal. Very smart play. I’m excited about him. Hopefully he makes it impossible to send him down.Good debut. Almost picked up an assist on the first goal of the game, almost created another goal with his forechecking creating a turnover in the 3rd but we couldn't score with the goalie out of his net. Had a nice back check in the second. Nice carry and zone entry on the power play. Otherwise he kept it simple and safe. He kept his shifts short, and got off at good times. He didn't turn the puck over or try to do too much.
Hopefully he earned some trust and another game.
Pasta tries to beat multiple guys a night and fails….whats the difference? He continues to try and beat multiple defenders going down the wing, rarely works in the AHL will not work in the NHL. Besides this continued effort to try and beat defenses single handedly hurting the team it is also something the coaching staff has been trying for over two years to break him of doing and he still refuses.
I have seen nothing in his play that makes me think he has matured in anyway and that a scouts criticism of him being an independent contractor and his coaches disappointment in him has changed.
He's fast, that's it. I personally can't stand players who are more concerned about themselves, seem to be talented but unwilling to work to become better and don't listen to coaches or management. His refusal to stay in Boston and train with the teams staff is just another indication of selfishness and lack of desire to do all that is needed to make the NHL.
Poitras who plays a grittier more complete game should have been recalled first.
His family was already visiting for Xmas.He said postgame it was perfect timing because they flying home tomorrow.I liked his debut though .Kept it simple.Pasta tries to beat multiple guys a night and fails….whats the difference?
Thought he had a great first game. Kept the forecheck going in the third when up by 4.
Liked there was a new look on the powerplay.
This team lacks skill, he didn’t really look out of place playing his first game.
*edit. Also love his family made the trip for the debut!
Pasta is a 50 goal scorer, that said i thought Lysell played ok tonightPasta tries to beat multiple guys a night and fails….whats the difference?

Amen. What a classy touch and surprise for them all. Loved seeing him out there. It’s always exciting to me to see the home grown guys get a chance. He looked like he belonged.A really nice touch for the Bruins to call him up with his family in town from Sweden. Players notice that stuff and it’s a great example of the culture.

Pretty sure Lysell and Brazeau played quite a bit on the same line in Providence last season. May have made it more comfortable for him breaking in. They seemed in sync on that first goal.Lysell needs to play with more skilled players than Frederic and Brazz. At least Brazz has hands if he can get to the net fast enough, which isn't guaranteed.
May be the case, but he still needs better talent around him to bring out his ceiling. Frederic is an enigma. He has skills (that shot off the rush we saw last year), but no internal drive that is apparent.Pretty sure Lysell and Brazeau played quite a bit on the same line in Providence last season. Ya they played together and with Merkulov and they had great chemistryPretty sure Lysell and Brazeau played quite a bit on the same line in Providence last season. May have made it more comfortable for him breaking in. They seemed in sync on that first goal.
I thought he played a solid NHL debut game. He looked like he belonged out there. I don't know what the Bruins plans for him are- if this is just a taste of the NHL so he can get some perspective on what he needs to keep working on in Providence or he stays up for a while and acclimates himself. I do think he eventually needs to be on a more skilled line, or at least a line that isn't centered by Trent "Ghost' Frederic.
You know what though? I felt last night was Frederic's best game in awhile. Brazeau too. One of the things when you add a strong fast skater who can handle the puck to a line is it forces the other two forwards to skate faster/move their feet more, to keep up to the increased pace. Other than a couple turnovers, Lysell was able to play the game last night at an NHL pace and looked fairly comfortable and his two line-mates I felt benefitted from it. Some legitimate speed and skill may of been exactly what that 3rd line needed.
I could be completely soured on Frederic now lol. I didn't think he was terrible, just didn't notice him much- which is fine for a shutdown D man, not so much for a forward who is needed to supply grit and secondary scoring. But not to bash Trent- maybe playing with a speedy skilled guy like Lysell will get him going if the Bruins keep him up. I want to see more of what Lysell can bring to an offensively challenged club.
