He's having another strong season and the callup is well earned.

7 points in his last 6. If you take out the slow start (which may have been some injury recovery), then he has 15 points in the 18 games since.

He continues to try and beat multiple defenders going down the wing, rarely works in the AHL will not work in the NHL. Besides this continued effort to try and beat defenses single handedly hurting the team it is also something the coaching staff has been trying for over two years to break him of doing and he still refuses.

I have seen nothing in his play that makes me think he has matured in anyway and that a scouts criticism of him being an independent contractor and his coaches disappointment in him has changed.

He's fast, that's it. I personally can't stand players who are more concerned about themselves, seem to be talented but unwilling to work to become better and don't listen to coaches or management. His refusal to stay in Boston and train with the teams staff is just another indication of selfishness and lack of desire to do all that is needed to make the NHL.

Poitras who plays a grittier more complete game should have been recalled first.

Don’t doubt a word you’re saying and I agree with your dislike of selfish players….

The only thing I’ll say about this is that sometimes guys just play better at the highest level.

I’m just hoping he’s one of them.
 
McLaughlin, possibly undeservedly, back to Providence. So who sits, Koepke, or does the Wahlstrom experiment continue?
