Great move sending Lysell to Vancouver now so that he can have a complete season, rather than tinkering with him in the AHL then sending him down to juniors after that team has gelled.

Lysell scored less than 10 goals in an entire hockey season last year, including his jr team, SHL and U18. It would have been a huge mistake to repeat that for a second year in a row. He should be filling the net, and especially working on his goal scoring.

Agreed 100%. The skill is obvious but it will be good for him to get some production going and to be a go-to guy on his team for a full season.

Probably the right move before we get too attached..
But we were already bonding!

Yes- so much he can work on but some is just nature running it’s course

I am so glad they had Panerin in that game - 12 years his senior but the similarities are striking

if he’s ever close to that a Pastrnak/Lysell right side duo going to be fun

He’s basically a RW I scouted him extremely hard for our SIM draft thinking I might get a shot and he’s better at RW

also as Cassidy said this summer about DeBrusk on offside he prefers left wings on left side - Europe rinks are bigger so off wing more time but not here

Lysell certainly could play LW with Pastrnak but I would be very surprised yet it’s not impossible

Excuse my ignorance but hypothetically if Lysell is killing it in WHL is he able to be assigned to AHL mid season or will he have to wait? Not saying he should just curious if possible.

Much appreciated. I usually do my research and make calls to make sure the info is accurate. I'd like to say I bring info and opinion you won't get anywhere else, but I'm dreaming there.
Best explanation
