team elected just means the player is guaranteed at least 85% of his money. Player elected, any number is eligible to be presented. Can Carolina go in with 85% of his QO? Or is that only for team-elected arbitration?
yesIs it possible for a player to lose arbitration badly?
Strap in. I think we’re about to find out.Is it possible for a player to lose arbitration badly?
Come on dude, bear sucks. Arbitration?Have you said anything good about anyone ever? Tony D doesn’t count here so take a moment to think

I would have bet a bottle of Cognac that he signs the QO the first minute.Wait, so Bear doesn’t even want to accept his QO? Does he somehow think he’s worth more?
seems like an uninformative and short press conference today
I imagine they’re staying busy still. Also we’ve got some of the worst media in the league. No more @saraciv420 asking them hard pressing questionsseems like an uninformative and short press conference today
i dont get that. Its more of a "Hey Scott what is your plan for this year?" Am I going to make the roster out of camp? "There is a chance but it is unlikely" I think I will go back to school for another year and then evaluate my options. "Sounds good, we'll be in touch"Sounds like they wanted to sign him this season. Hopefully they can get it done next offseason.
This kind of does have the airs that Bear is forcing a trade by having the arbitration hearing dismantle (what's left of) the player - club relationship. A trade is a common outcome after a hearing.IMO, Bear won’t be on the roster come season.
LA needs to shed money to re-sign their RFAs.
I can't find anything in the CBA saying that he couldn't. But looks like the former team (and not tje new one) would still be the one to participate in the hearing. It's possible there are some rules about such scenario in the NHL By-laws or elsewhere. One could argue for both allowing and disallowing a trade during the proceedings. Can a player who has filed for arbitration be traded before the arbitration hearing?
definitely one I could see garnering interest.I could easily see us having interest in Iafallo. A move like that is right up our alley.
