Didn't he purposely or was strongly encouraged to go back to Guelph so he can work with their elite skating coach Barb Underhill?

I mean, that may be a reason. I always thought the junior route has better competition for development so maybe he chose that direction because of it.

I just don’t see the explosive speed there. He’s quick, but loses his speed quickly.

7 game point streak; 7 goals, 13 points, 38 shots on goal #notbad

looks good out there, maybe he will develop nicely as a middle-six forward. To me, he doesn’t appear to have the speed or ‘game-breaking’ ability to be a true top-six forward

IIRC it was specifically to work with that skating coach. Pretty sure she is given a lot of credit for "fixing" Point's skating as well.

Yeah, he is in Guelph to learn from her, he really wanted to go to ND but chose Guelph to fix his skating deficiencies

God I wanted this kid to fall to the Lightning so bad

He was picked 66th overall, was considered as a potential 1st rounder. Plenty of chances for the Bolts here. Thanks god he fell to the Ducks.

What's cool is, the Storm scored 29 goals and he has 13 pts. The second best scorer on the team has 7.

Bad skater, always last in the attack but incredible nose for the net and dominating OHL.

Corey Perry vibes all around

If he gets bigger I could see it and Perry also improved his skating quite a bit. The kid is talented so I think he will make the improvements necessary

Almost got an assist just now, literal millimeters from it on a back door pass for a Chayka one timer.
