I take it your statement regarding "tweaking" playmaking skills is in regards to Lardis?

If he doesn't do the tweak, does that mean he'll be an NHL star as opposed to superstar?
Amazing shooter, even better skater, intelligent too. He's just not quite an elite playmaker. He's going to be a great player and makes the best plays at a high rate, but sometimes he holds onto the puck in situations he should be passing. It's not that often, but it hinders his ability to get to the next level. With how small he is, it is very important that he is exceptional in a lot of categories

Kane had a slight build. Lardis is fast, has a great shot, a sniper's mentality....look forward to seeing him in Rockford next year.

Lardis is sort of the definition of a perimeter junior scorer. Like he fell for a reason despite his speed shot and goal totals. Great tools but lacks that substance that makes a good junior guy a good NHL guy (whatever you want to call it: hockey IQ, playmaking, it’s the ability to initiate offense and elevate teammates). It’s ironic to say this about a smaller guy but he’s actually very reliant on his physical tools at this point.

Any game above the junior level that I’ve seen he literally just never has the puck and when he gets it he struggles to make plays. Probably not a guy at the NHL level, BUT if there’s someone in our prospect pool who’s going to surprise developmentally it could be him. His low kick back snapshot one timer is devastating and obviously he’s quick. I just don’t really see many NHL skills outside of those traits as of right now

I really like taking guys with his profile in the 2nd and 3rd rounds but as of now I'll have to see it at the AHL level before I start believing in Lardis. Every time I watch the Bulldogs I just come away feeling like his game is so juniors.

Regardless, great pick and value for where we got him.

Lardis is a dangerous shooter. Him and Bedard on a line together is what I foresee. If I'm not mistaken, they had great chemistry in the preseason

You mean at camp/pre-season? It's not like there have been many such games.

How many games has he played above the Junior level??

And what would the realistic expectations be for a 19 year old playing his first few games above the Junior level?
