Neither team should do this trade. Cozens should only be moved for another center and Pellikka shouldn't even be considered, considering how essential he will be in the not too distant future as a PPQB.

I appreciate the reminder. I need to touch grass I’ll admit, no shame in that it’s a busy world.
Take one step towards the direction you want to go by opening your front door!

As for trade suggestion, no way. Prefer to take the risk on ASP's ultimate potential at this point in the rebuild. And the wings have good center prospects imo. Danielson is being very underrated.

Credit to Cozens for turning 1 good year into 7.1 million a year.

Guy has been a 38-47 point guy in 3 of the last 4 years. Not even coming close to worth it the last 2 years.

I wouldn't give much to acquire him.

No from Detroit. If Cozens were a clear 1C level guy, maybe one could discuss. Cozens trends as a middle-6 guy at the moment. We have a couple of guys for those roles in the pipeline (Danielson/Kasper). ASP type guy is needed way more in Detroit.

If Cozens was a clear 1C "maybe" you would discuss?

Lol

If that was the case this wouldn't be a thread.

I'm very very high on Sandin Pellikka and I think he will be the better player of the two in the end

But I dont think the trade makes much sense for any of the teams right now and there's no trade to be made here. Both say no.

Wings wouldn't and shouldn't touch this with a 10-foot pole. ASP's stock is sky high at the moment and Cozens is at an all-time low.

Still think Cozens will be very good but no reason for Detroit to give away a guy who might be a top pairing D.

Would likewise be stupid for Buffalo to trade from a position of weakness (center) for a position of strength (offensive D)

If you can't find a good fit you need to overpay on value.

Kasper+ASP would make me think about it but I'd rather trade Cozens+Byram for sn upgrade at C.

Love it.Detroit fanbase is where Sabre fan base was 2 years ago as in the love of their prospects. Most prospects won't hit their ceiling OR take a ways to develop.Power Cozens Quinn Peterka Krebs come to mind then you have next wave of Benson Levi Kulich Helenus. Ostlund Wahlberg. Most prospects should be dealt once you have figured out who your core is.Detroit has Seider Edvinson on backend. Not saying I would move Pelikka for Cozens neither team does this but for a position of need for sure.If your going to rely on Kasper AND Danielson as 2 and 3 centre in future then I welcome you to the BUFFALO SABRES 15 YEAR REBUILD! Cmon in lol

I can't believe that in 2025 people are still getting fooled by profiles like Cozens. Average to bad play-driving metrics but one season where he shoots 15% and all of the sudden he has 1c potential. Doesn't even have the "coach doesn't trust him/doesn't play on the powerplay" excuse

Also, haven't I seen Sabres fans calling Cozens a better winger than center?

Wings are bone dry on RD after Seider, and the Sabres don't need any more puck moving defensemen. This trade doesn't make much sense for either team.

Buffalo, valuing Cozens for what he can be, doesn't trade him for the chance that ASP turns into Nils Lundkvist.

Detroit, valuing Cozens for what he currently is, doesn't trade ASP with the chance that he turns into Erik Karlsson.

Neither team touches this.

What part of my location being Toronto makes you think I'm a Wings fan?

I was just trying to be objective. ASP looks like he has top pairing potential.
