This isn't nothing.

Keefe said the other day with Hyman out, Robertson slotted onto Matthews wing because he wanted to keep his other lines in tact and building chemistry.

With a full/healthy lineup it says something that he's on the 3rd line.

That being said, I'd still be shocked to see him dressed Game 1.
If I had to put money on it, I would agree with you. It is interesting though that he's slotted into the lineup at this point.

I just find it amusing that loud mouth posters that are currently in other threads arguing with people about having opinions on players they don't watch come in here and present their opinion as fact on a player that they haven't watched.

:sarcasm:

These prospects fans talk up like Robertson and Broberg will not be participating, unless there are injuries.

idk where people get the hubris to talk with certainty about things they couldn't possibly know about.

people a lot more connected to the team like Mirtle and Jonas Siegel have said they expect Robertson to play. Might want to prepare yourself for the possibility.

Can you post links to where they said they expect him to play?

If I'm wrong, come back here, and remind me. I'll have no problem admitting I was wrong. Although, I'll still stand behind saying there's no way any team should be including any of these guys in any of these games.

What's the need to be so abrasive? Am I wrong in saying that you got mad about my post and then two minutes later lashed out at me again in a different thread for a discussion you had taken no previous part in?

Am I clearly wrong that Robertson won't play? You even agree with me, but I'm the bad guy for saying what you agree with? It seems like you are mad if someone who doesn't root for your team says it, but if you or a fellow Leaf fans says it, it's all okay and makes sense. In other words, it's a team war.

You okay? This post may have been more appropriate for you diary.

This is a thread about Nick Robertson, sweetheart.

You passive-aggressively tried lashing out on me in a response to another poster. I had no problem with the discussion. You evidently did't like my opinion. If you are going to attack me for voicing the same opinion as you, you shouldn't be surprised when I answer back.

I don't see why this needs to get like it is lol. He is getting a decent look on a few different lines....I still think push comes to shove he will be on the outside looking in on the final roster and it will be used more as experience to jump onto the roster next year. Keefe is even quoted as saying the long term development of him is more important then the short term.

One thing to note about today's practice is that Engvall was in a grey sweater. No idea what that signifies, could mean he's banged up and that's why he's taking an easy day as the extra forward. Maybe not. Regardless, fairly telling that Robertson is the first forward in, although that could just be a development thing.

We shall see what the rest of the week brings.

Because a 60 point winger making 7 million dollars a season won’t ever be expendable in the near future. c’mon man.

He was on pace for over 70 points this year, and 7 million doesn't make him expendable, it makes him valuable because it's a fair contract. We need all the talent we can get so Robertson is not going to be bouncing Nylander out of the lineup, there are enough other wingers that can get bumped.

3 days in a row...I think the kid has made the opening day lineup. Robertson-Kerfoot-Kapanen should be an exciting line to watch

Pretty impressive that he’s close to securing a 3rd line spot, in the playoffs, at the age of 18. Hope he kills it!!

Obviously the team is easier to make with Johnsson injured, but he’s still (probably) beating out some serviceable NHLers like Engvall, Petan and Malgin. That’s really tough to do at 18.

maybe he wasn't mad and you should have just taken it as constructive criticism ;)

If nothing else i have a feeling the kids enthusiasm, energy and drive are at least a good eye-opener for some of the bottom 6 players, if not outright threatening.
I really hope he earns a chance and his work ethic is infectious
