Chris Johnson said that Robertson is constantly in contact with the leafs training staff. He said he is always contacting their nutritionist asking about meals and what he should be eating. He records his workout and sends it to the athletic trainer to ask about form etc.

Good to see a prospect taking advantage of all the sources that they have available to them. It'll go a long way.

Whatever knocks people have on the kid, the two things you can't question are his desire to make it, and his compete to get the puck. If people want to question his skating, size, and turnovers, I completely get it. But, the kid's desire to make it hopefully take him far (along with his puck control and shot).

Remember watching the CHL prospects game and this guy impressed me virtually every shift he played. I had no idea who he was at the time and had never seen him play before, but he stood out the most from what I remember.

Very much the same feelings I had about Robert Thomas and Kailer Yamamoto in their prospects game. Think this kid will be an impact NHLer one day.

Agreed, shocked he slipped to #53 after i watched him(which was post draft so at the time i had no idea). I love his compete, shiftiness, hands, vision and has some scoring touch. His compete level is what's gonna get him a shot at such a young age, his skill and abilities are what's gonna thrust him into possibly a top 6 complimentary role in toronto soon, especially given their cap situation and need for quality depth forwards.

I didn’t think he would actually play, but I’m starting to wonder if he might. Sounds like he’s excellent on the PK which has been a major flaw for the Leafs in the playoffs.

Exactly. Shame people are jumping all over Muzzin. It’s like people can’t fathom that Robertson might be just that good.

he might not make the leafs this season, but man. he may make a guy like Nylander expendable in the near future

People need to calm the hype train but he definitely looks very good at this point for a recent 2nd round pick.

Wouldn't mind seeing him play in the exhibition game to see where he's at.

Well considering he may play his way into that line-up, it may not be a terrible idea :)

As some may say, he's "right up there".

I highly doubt it. Fans love to talk up the contributions of prospects in a meaningless training camp. Nothing new. A coach in such a short series is not going to trust a guy who has never played an NHL game, and hasn't shown they clearly are NHL ready. If this was a Makar or McAvoy situation, that'd be a different story. I don't see any of those this year. These prospects fans talk up like Robertson and Broberg will not be participating, unless there are injuries.

Okay coach!

I really do not think Robertson is going to be a regular in the lineup to start the playoffs. I think they will keep him with the team throughout but only to step in if there is a significant injury. I do think he will make the Leafs to start next season though.

Guys let’s simmer down on the second rounder type. In a couple of years if Robertson steps in and has an Andreas Johnsson type rookie year that will already be mission accomplished and a great sign for the future. Nevermind making an impact on a cup run this summer.

Today's lines at camp.

This isn't nothing.

Keefe said the other day with Hyman out, Robertson slotted onto Matthews wing because he wanted to keep his other lines in tact and building chemistry.

With a full/healthy lineup it says something that he's on the 3rd line.

That being said, I'd still be shocked to see him dressed Game 1.
