Mika was good...but he drove me batshit crazy when he had that shorthanded 2 on 1 with Vinnie and tried to force a backhand pass to him.He needs to rip that shit on net.His unselfishness really kills him at times.

FWIW Trocheck supposedly broke a finger in the four nations tournament. His play post tournament at least some degree reflects that. Overall though it's not been a good season.

I like how Mika has played the last month or so. Pretty much since JT showed up he's been on the same line and his play took a real uptick. Part of the reason we're in the hole that we are though is Mika's really bad first half. Now that's he playing better that's good but it's also a bit late.

There are other forwards with down years---Kreider, Lafreniere and Panarin. We're not going to get rid of all these guys and I would think at least 3 and maybe 4 of them will be with us when training camp opens next year. I don't see Panarin moving unless the Rangers make a big score in free agency like Mitch Marner (if he even gets there). There will be a lot more money from the cap going up and the Rangers I expect will use up most of their cap space. Panarin is still their most lethal offensive forward.....though he will be going into his final year.

Jones was on the ice for 31 of NYR's 67 shot attempts, 16 of NYR's 32 scoring chances, and 6 of NYR's 10 high-danger chances, while also finishing with a 52% 5v5 xGF% and a 1.68 xGF% rel. How tf does the card say his offense was bad??

Tro no goals in 11

Laf no goals in 13

Oth might never get an NHL point

17 more games of junk.

For all the terrible individual seasons this entire team has had, Laf and Tro are by far the worst offenders. I mean neither of them look like they can even skate at the NHL level. Trocheck is absolutely cooked.

This Lafreniere contract is going to be next level horrible if he doesn't get explosively faster this off-season

He was probably their best skater tonight. Him missing that shot doesn't change that.
Mika has been good since January. No issues with him. Actually have come to be fine with him hanging around long term. Frankly everyone except Lafreniere was solid to very good. Hockey is a lot of luck too.

Braden Schneider played his best game this season.
Miller also very good from what I saw.

After 100 years in the desert and never having a 1st overall pick, the Rangers finally get one. And it turns out he stinks and is one of the most disappointing 1OV this century

Honestly, one of the more cruel parts of being a fan of this team lol
I’m an optimistic guy in general but this is true. Laf is a hot mess. I am hoping he bounces back but more and more it appears he needs to get traded to wake him up.

Here is the problem
If you lose next years pick Drury can not strip this team down. I know 93 sucks and 10 is cooked but we don't have anyone that's gonna step up next year.
I mean i guess if we are lucky he can make a hockey trade for Panarin but 93 and 20 don't have much value

Need to bring in pricks and ship out the guys who are moping around like kreider, mika, kandre.

I mean, Mika has 27 points in 29 games since the calendar turned.

Doesnt matter. Mika’s style doesnt fly in the playoffs. Hes deathly afraid of contact and refuses to engage in puck battles. One of the Jets goals was because he shied away from contact in the corner allowing the jets to maintain possession

3rd only behind Messier and Leetch in PPG pace in the playoffs.

Good to see Lavi is now going to shuffle around Parsinnen, Kaliyev, Barard and Othmann as he "looks for answers". Where have I seen this before? f***ing asshole.

someone really needs to call him out. Not tiptoe around it, actually challenge him to step up and start playing like a $7m forward who was drafted 1OA
Funny......I would have sworn that was one of the reasons for making that JT Miller trade.

Trocheck is legitimately the most underperforming disappointing player this season. Mika turned his season around and has been probably our best forward for over a month now. Trocheck is a ghost. Worse than a ghost, he’s actively hurting the team.

lol at people who think we should trade Fox. This team is even more of a disaster without Fox even at 50% health.
I don't think Tro is underperforming.....he, Panny and Laff had career seasons last year....don't think a lot of people thought they'd put up the same numbers or better this season.

The whole team didn't generate anything. These scores aren't relative. It looks to me like he was less bad than most.

No, but here's another frozen take: Florida will be good next year.
One is obvious. One you have no idea about because you have zero clue what drury does in the offseason. Top 6 and defense could look very different. But one thing i do know, we will still have one of the top goalies in the league that on any given night can get us 2 points.

I was really rooting for Kaliyev. Shame.

But then again I was rooting for Kakko, Andersson, Kravtsov, Jessiman, Brendl, Henriksson, Lundkvist, Saarela, Malhotra, Tambellini, McIlrath, Werek, Baranka, Grachev, Novak, Asplund, Korpikoski, Sanguinetti, Day, and Gropp. So what the f*** do I know?
You forgot Jessiman.
