After the Czech U15 league system was reorganized two years ago and a competitive “Extraliga 9 tříd” was organized, the quality of games in this age category has improved significantly - big score results like 11:0, 12:2 have become rare. All the more valuable are today's 10 (!) points (goal, goal, goal, goal, sh-goal) of Michal Hartl from the Kometa team. A tall, powerful forward with great speed and excellent hands. By a large margin, he leads the league in the number of goals scored and, of course, gradually began to be involved in the games of the 07/08 year, also showing decent performance.

Recently, he has become a stable member of the ’07 team (“dorost”). Now there is a break in the "dorost" league, so in order to maintain his form, Hartl is "returned" to the u15 league for a few games. And in such games, Hartl manages to “run wild” to the fullest - as a rule, he scores at least three goals. Today he distinguished himself four times.

Seems like he's off to a good start in U17 league with 6 points in 4 games. Is he on par with say Adam Benak as far a potential? He seems like according to stats he could be very promising

Answer to that question is easy to evaluate, is Michal Hartl on par with say Wayne Gretzky?

Sorry I just said Adam Benak because I was trying to think of a recent Czech prospect who had hype. How does Hartl look?
A good question to which practically all Czech users are unable to give you an answer at the moment. Firstly, because we don't have the opportunity to see him play at such an age and secondly, the real test will only come in international matches against tough opponents. And he practically hasn't played such matches yet. We will be wiser in this regard after the next representative tournament. If he's going to play at all in that tournament, the coach said he wants to change the line-up.
Edit: Although I am a supporter of the opinion that the first really difficult test will come in a year at the WHC..

He improves from game to game. Today, thanks to his excellent performance in the third period, the Czechs were able to snatch victory from the stubborn Slovaks again.

Today Hartl made his debut in the U20 league.
He played in the second line and at the end of the game he made a primary assist, making a beautiful passout.

At the tournament of five countries that ended yesterday, he was the best in the Czech team. He stood out noticeably from his teammates, scoring 7 points (the other players scored 3-4).
Yesterday's beautiful passout.

Hartl was good, but from what I've seen (2-3 games from the 5-nations) Blengino is obviously a better prospect (my opinion). But The Hartl-Vanicek-Viedemann line was really good.

Stormed the czech U20 like nothing, ppg at 15 yrs of age playing with 3-4 years older kids ... impressive

We are up to 4 very interesting prospects for this draft already: Kachlir, Byrtus, Tomek, Hartl
So 1 first rounder, top 100 and 2 CHL busts.lol Seems to be how it goes for us.. Eg. I had Zahesky and Pekar ahead of Nestrasil but quite a bit. Here we are.lol

Beloharsky (late ‘08) looks interesting too. Big kid and 6 points in 9 games in U20.
Yeah him too, wonder if he is in any youth team during this break .. I have seen Kachlir I think with U17, Tomek with U18 already, Hartl with U16 (scored yesterday against Finland), Byrtus probably nowhere and Trinec is keeping him under lock again lol

Belohorsky maybe with U17 too?

Lol so I got it completely wrong ... Kachlir is the one with U18 and Tomek with U17 ... Belohorsky and Byrtus with U17 too, so Byrtus is playing thats good news

Confirmed. Looks good now. In April 2027:

- Kachlir: Doesn’t grow, too small to be serious NHL pick.
- Tomek: Same.
- Hartl: Another dime a dozen junior scoring star.
- Beloharsky: Only good at 16 because he towers over junior opponents.
- Byrtus: Good but decides to play to for USA :D

Stanislav Sanejstr is also worthy of the first round...
I think that this age category will still live up to expectations and 10+ talented guys will be selected in the top 100 of the 2027 draft. Even if someone lowers their level, there will always be those who can replace the one who has dropped.
The following guys are also worth paying attention to: Jan Rejthar, Oliver Andrle look great in the Swedish U18 league, which is mainly played by players born in 2007. David Guk is in a similar situation in Finland. The U16 league is being torn apart by Sebastian Taliga, who is now also Czech. Denis Widemann and Stepan Stejskal are also playing in Switzerland for the 2007 year. There are also many who can be singled out from those playing in the Czech Republic. I will mention only a few, although there are many others: Dario Blengino, Jonas Vanicek, Matej Tomanek, Elias Matousek, Krystof Vrbata.
There is only one problematic position for this draft: goalies. The group of guys for the next (2028) draft (Orechovsky, Brucek, Hajek) and the group for the previous draft (2026) (Larys, Psohlavec, Poletin) look significantly better than the goalies for the 2027 draft (Oprchalsky, and I don’t even know who else to name).
