kids got 2g 2a against slovakia today, hes a year younger than everyone and just crushing it

Extremely reminiscent of Bedard in terms of impact. He’s that level of simply already better than almost anyone on the team outside of the older top-flight centre (Catton/MacTavish).

Agreed, his skating is fantastic, he's active away from the puck, is good enough to make the game easier for his linemates, can process the game as fast as Catton, and has the hands to keep up. His shot is quite good, certainly better than most, but I don't think it's his stand out attribute. He could be the best player in the CHL by halfway through the season.

He reminds me of Eichel, mostly in the way he skates, and how he's great at gliding and surveying the play and being active off puck. He's going to be a C, and eventually he will benefit from being "the guy", rather than playing second-fiddle to Catton.

So does everyone think Marner is the right comp? I definitely see some Marner to how he plays.
I say Séguin (easy to forget but this guy was top 3 in scoring one year before falling off a lot) because he’s an extremely powerful north/south skater that’s a great finisher. Great at zone entries but in zone doesn’t control tempo as much as Mather in my opinion.

This kid is going to be really good.. I don't think he'll be seen at Bedard level, but definitely that MacKinnon tier.

I'll let Craig Button decide that especially after a Hlinka tourney thank you very much

I can't wait for him to pick someone random and hype them up all year long.

McCagg will no doubt find someone like Cayden Lindstrom to talk about as better than Celebrini all year.

4 points in 5 games, -2. Bit of a slow start on paper, as he's tied for 7th on his team in points. For anyone who has watched Saginaw , how has he looked?

He's been great after sitting out that game for whatever reason. Minor injury?

Didn't Bedard have a slow start to his sophomore year as well?

Anyway, having watched two games recently I'm really impressed by how well rounded he is. He looks like a star out there and it's easy to forget that this should technically have been his rookie season.

This guy feels severely underrated as a prospect atm. If he had another three games like the leading scorers, he'd probably be top 5 despite his slow start. Easy to forget he's 16.

And his rookie season beats all other exceptional players, in terms of ppg vs the rest of the OHL. Not saying that makes him as good as McDavid, but he did perform better relatively to his peers.

To equal McDavid at 16 he should finnish top three in ppg this season. Seems doable!
