7g, WJC MVP, couldn't ask for much more from this guy. What a release.
That PP will be lethal with Pettersson and Lekkerimaki as one time options.
Surprised by both Havelid best g and him MVP.7g, WJC MVP, couldn't ask for much more from this guy. What a release.
After struggling most of last year and then having a great playoffs and start to this year, it was great to see him continue and have such a dominant tournament.7g, WJC MVP, couldn't ask for much more from this guy. What a release.
Been confirmed by Allvin (intermission interview on Swedish TV) that EP2.0 and Lekkerimäki will be joining Abbotsford for next season. EP2.0 might come over as early as the end of his season this year. All 3 Canucks on Team Sweden played well this tournament. I think EP and Lekkerimaki will play in Abby next season, and Willander back at BU. All 3 could see time with the Canucks the following year.
Canucks have a pretty solid core of prospects coming up, we should be able to add a few NHLers a year for the next.Been confirmed by Allvin (intermission interview on Swedish TV) that EP2.0 and Lekkerimäki will be joining Abbotsford for next season. Willander will return to BU and hopefully have the opportunity to be the #1 guy and expected to deliver on the offensive side of things as well. Massively impressed of him during world juniors.
Might have to catch a few Abbottsford games next season to just watch Lek. I love his no fs given type of offense. Lethal shot and shoots from everywhere. Combine that with his development a long the boards and the feistiness he's started to show. We've got something that could be special here.

Lots of good Americans as well though.Basically team Sweden coming up just like we always have had since Naslund and the Sedins. We have no good Canadians at all.
doesnt have the size, but now their resume looks a lot closer. Was comparing him with Holtz, but I can see hes more dynamic and his shot is much more lethal. If he develops, hes found money in a weak year at 15.He could be a Filip Forsberg type, I liked him

Filip was 6'1.25 and 188 lbs at the combine. He then grew a couple of cms and put on some weight. I don't see Lekky becoming another Filip anyway.Lekky is 6'0 170lbs at 19 yrs old.
Forsberg today is what? 6'1 - 205lbs?
From reading draft reports, Forsberg was around 6'0- 6'1 and 175lbs at same age as Lekky.
I do think that Lekky's build is more wirey than Forsberg's but i dont think size is going to be that much different once Lekky hits his playing weight and size as he matures.
I will always be grateful to Benning for our core but development at the AHL level was terrible but I guess in fairness, most of his picks that panned out made the jump bypassing the AHL..Canucks have a pretty solid core of prospects coming up, we should be able to add a few NHLers a year for the next.
I'll probably get slammed for this but unless a kid from the CHL is like a top 3 pick can't miss, I much prefer Europe and US prospects.Basically team Sweden coming up just like we always have had since Naslund and the Sedins. We have no good Canadians at all.
