Not really.

Is Kucherov generational?

He’s a superstar but he’s not McDavid or Crosby or Ovechkin.

Kucherov? 100% generational he’s at the same level now as McDavid

He was a late bloomer but saying hes not playing at a generational level would be insane.

Hockey isn't basketball, no one player, turns a bad team into a contender especially a rookie.

You could take any star player in the league right now and it doesn't make the Habs a contender.

Have you seen us play right now?

Id respectfuly disagree with you. The Habs are a lot closer to being a playoff team than many who don't follow them think. They have taken a fairly large step this year. A true star offensive player would really take the rebuild to the next level

Generational implies that there's one (or maybe two) guys at that level in a generation, and they dominate over the vast majority of their career.

You just have a much looser definition which is why people are disagreeing with you.

And some have a very selective as to who they want to include in the club.

Kaprizov averages 100pt per 82 games and he's a superstar but no generational player. I was thinking more like that kind of player

Do you agree that Kucherov is not playing at the same level as McDavid?

Also the one guy who believes Mesar will be a star

Its funny you say this because the whole world was seing Bedard as the next McDavid and i said he wasn't but you don't count this as a plus do you?

I said Demidov would be Generational using Bedard as a point of view. Demidov is having crazy numbers and he's on pace to have that type of career by the way he's progressing. 15 pts in his last 10 games since he's been playing normal minutes.

Mesar was on a PPG pace before his injury, playing on the third line and limited PP time. Everything leads to believe Mesar is going to have a strong career in the NHL once he's given the opportunity.

Lets talk about your predictions now

Kucherov isn't, but he's pretty near. 100 assists last season. 34 and 32 point playoffs. His 128 points was the most for a European winger in decades. But any generational talk surrounding Demidov, or almost any player, is pretty silly at this point. Its also a completely marginal opinion that only 1 poster has.

Why are we bringing up the generational topic? If Demidov was generational, he would have been drafted 1st overall. And spotted years before his draft.

Jeez. The kid is not even in North America yet.
There's no "we", it's really just one guy no one agrees with.
