Look at the stats Sochi had with Michkov. They had just two players who created offense, Michkov and Tyanulin... Pity the Flyers didn't sign Tyanulin in the offseason, btw, he's better than any LW the team has...
Sorry I was wrong about my numbers. Michkov actually got the most toi between the 3 of them

And in the 16 games since he's gotten top six minutes (17 minutes) he's had 13 goals and 9 assists for 22 points. A nearly 1.4 PPG pace to Michkov's .85PPG

Teammates can have an impact but when the points per game has THAT big of a gap with the exact same ice time, amd hrs seemingly getting better every game before our eyes....I really think the kids just genuinely on another level man

Michkov scored 19 goals out of the team's 123 in those 47 games he played for Sochi. Demidov scored 19 out of 189 SKA's goals. Sochi had 2.62 GPG with Michkov and 2.14 GPG without him. See the difference?

Prior to the Hughes visit, Demidov was averaging about 10+ minutes per game. In the 16 games since the Hughes visit with Rottenberg, Demidov has gotten 17 minutes of ice time (Michkov averaged 16:58) and in those games Demidov has scored 13 of SKA's 63 goals. SKA had a GPG of 3.93 with Demidov and 3.12 GPG without him. Can you see the difference? 😉

And apologies I was wrong on the points total. It's actually 23 in 16 games for a PPG of 1.43

Demidov played in all but one game this season. In 16 games he played under 10 min and scored 4 points (1+3). In 34 games he played 10-22 min and scored 38 points (18+20). SKA scored 130 goals in those 34 games (Sochi scored 123 goals in 47 games with Michkov), 18 of them were Demidov's. Still not as good as Michkov's contribution. And it's obvious that SKA plays run-n-gun style while Sochi played defense (still pretty sucky, though) first one. And don't forget about quality of teammates...

And Michkov was a PPG+ player untill he started to have health problems...

You're really digging hella deep for arguments here it's hilarious. Can't wait to see what's next.

Lol what a weird span. Like if 10 and 22 are remotely close. Demidov have surpassed Michkov pretty much on everyone mind and for good reason. The kid is simply a better hockey player.

That's true but generally speaking I think that playing a lot of minutes and PP time on a bad team is still a bit more beneficial to production than playing very few minutes on a better team. Playing a lot of minutes on a good team is obviously better than both.
Agreed. For example, Celebrini's point totals would probably be worse if he played on the third line and second PP on the Oilers instead of top six and PP1 with the Sharks.

10 min is pretty typical use for a rookie, nothing outlier. Overall pretty close in TOI to what Michkov had. And relative contribution stats are still better for Matvei. Despite all health problems he had during the season.

Michkov averaged 17min a game. This is top6 time. Playing 10min a game is 4th liner time. Nothing but close and more if we take pptime into consideration. You can use health problem all you want, Demidov have surpassed Michkov on the deepchart. I have a hard time thinking of one aspect of his game that I would chose over Demidov.

I also heard from a Finnish relative yesterday that there was a Russian dutchess (ruhtinatar) with last name Demidova who fled to Finland, but was cheated out of all her fortune and ended up living in a basic yard house in Eastern Finland. It humbled her. It may or not be the case that Ivan is related to this dutchess.

Ivan is generational in skill BUT also as humble as one can be if it is true. Where does it end with this guy?? Soon we gonna hear that he is a reincarnated Gretzky?? WOW!!

Pretty close? 10 min is as close to 17 min as 100 points are to 170.

Your bullshit has become gross. You're not even trying anymore.
