F Igor Chernyshov - Saginaw Spirit, OHL (2024, 33rd, SJS)

Can’t have asked for a better (delayed) start. I’d say, to be clear, we should expect something special from a physically developed, 2005-born, 1st rounder in the CHL. And he certainly hasn’t disappointed. Very “North American” style player, I think he always had a good chance to adapt quickly, Russian or not. Hard not to see him being a quality NHL winger down the road.

With his skillet and physical attributes it's hard to not see him as a possible Calder candidate for 26 if he finds some chemistry with say Celebrini next year.
