Honestly, I think the impressive thing is that he is from Japan, but there are 11 year olds just as impressive in my Western Montreal region, just no video footage of them.

The most impressive thing is that he's from Japan and the least impressive thing is that he's playing Japanese kids

Anybody know if Iguchi Aito is playing for Japan at the Quebec Peewee Tourney this year?

I know this guy has been talked about before. There is an updated YouTube video of his training in May. I think he's 11-12 yrs old.

If anyone is interested his team the Japan Samaruai are playing in the pat Quinn classic this week in Burnaby. He has 9 goals and 2 assists in three games so far. Tiny player but awesome skating, passing.

I watched the game today. Japan looked quite good. 14-4 win. Not only did Iguchi look good but most of the Japanese team :)

how tall is this kid? not bad, would love to see an asian player in the NHL.

Oh really short. Much shorter than most players. But great skater and great with the puck as the video suggests.

Nice he's playing in better competition.

There was a couple of huge dman that were really good too. Great skaters and great on the puck.

Hey, if DeBrincat can play, why not? Honestly, this is destined to become a manga. Hope he does great things. Ganbatte.

Hehe ya. He's played since age 5. I didn't even realize he was playing but thought back on the stories. Yamaguchi, big dman looked great. But I guess Iguchi has the early hype. They even have scouts at the tourney. It's a pewee/bantam age groups.

as in much shorter then players in his age? It least if he's like 5'0 feet tall, he might reach 5'11 or 6'0. a good height range to see him in the NHL.

Kid should move to Canada and start playing AAA. He is clearly really gifted and I fear someone that skilled would plateau and not turn into much if he keeps playing in Japan.

a modern day Taro Tsujimoto ;)
but for real this kid has some skills I didn't expect to see, would love for him to get a shot if he keeps progressing
