Lundqvist looks bad but it is preseason and this happens to a lot of goalies during the warm up games in the preseason. A ttough 5 game playoffs and some weak preseason games does not a career end. He was excellent the previous 4 playoffs (76 games). He was fine in the reg season too .920 (65 games).

Whether Sweden can afford to risk playing him while he warms up,
I don't know, well it's a big risk.

On top of that, you can even dig deeper into the better goalie metrics and see that last season, Lundqvist led or was in the top of the majority of them. The only big thing that brought Lundqvist down last season was the PK.

He'll be fine. There is no way he, or any other goalie, could "fall" as quickly as people perceive he has.

He's still a Top-5 goalie.
