So does Sweden actually ice the best team for the tournament and bench Lundqvist for Markstrom? Or do they give in to the politics?
 
I mean I get that Lundqvist is a slow starter and everything but the exhibition games are over and we can't really afford to play a goaltender in to shape. I'd start Markström.
 
Europe won 6-2 and the numbers are not lying. Interesting that every team won at least one exhibition game!

How about playing the best instead of relying on historical performances. The defense was terrible this game, but Lundqvist was even worse. I know it is a exhibition game, but it is those that should decide who plays and which lineups to use.
 
*lol* at the studio saying earlier "I don't think Grönborg have it in him to yell at these guys since he makes so much less than them" (or something like that but points out the same). Then you look at the CAN-RUS game and you see Babcock yelling at his players who get paid more than the Swedish once. If them getting pasid more or even becuase of wo they are is enough for Grönborg to not do his job then he isn't right for the role (which I don't think he was anyway but still). Though truth to be told he shouldn't have to yell at them because they are pros but if it's needed he needs to do it and be tough.

Oh I agree, but there is nothing but team sweden that can change it and we all know that it is just how it is until he retires no one else will get the chance, regardless how wrong it is, it looks like Canada and Russia are in the same spot with Price and Bob, even if they ar eboth younger and better in a few years it looks like they might be where we are now, that it's the goalies role to lose or give up. Well, it's still a few year away so I guess things can change for them but it could happen.
 
Markstrom has changed his mechanics big time. He is awesome since.

Wouldn't surprise me if I have to eat crow and he plays godly in the cup. We will see on Sunday. Good thing the game starts early.

But in all seriousness, they actually Said that? Are they mentally ****ing handicapped?
 
You could probably shoot a volleyball through Lundqvist's 5hole.

Sweden needs to start Markster if they want a chance to succeed.
 
I think Lundqvist will be fine for the tournament.

Or in the long run...for the NHL regular season.
