Scratch everyone fire that fat coach and move along

Hmm, it is so annoying when Sweden actually concentrates against Finland and then couldn't care less about this "European" team and ends up losing like 10-1.

I like the people implying Lundqvist is suddenly declining hard.

He isn't. Trust me. He has horrible starts every season. This is no different.

He's always been a slow starter in anything he does. This is not surprising in the least.

True, although last year he started the season super human.

That said, in a short tournament, you cant wait for a goaltender to find their game.

Forget stats. He hasn't been able to stop a quality shot in the last three or four games he's played.

In the playoffs, I figured he must be injured. But it's been all summer. This combined with the coach's comments about how they had a "plan" on how to get him up to speed, but wouldn't tell us what it was leaves a significant amount of doubt in my mind.

Totally invisible aside from the goals, there's a true goalscorer for ya.:yo:

A hatty's a hatty :yo:.

Interesting to see SWE get dominated like this on the scoreboard. I've mostly been watching Canada v Russia. Is the score reflective of the game?

To be honest, Sweden didn't look great against the Finns either.

They've had two decent games and one horrible, leading up to this WC.

Will not make it out of the group and I honestly don't even care. Sweden almost never manage to perform good as a team. We have a lot to learn from Finland there.

Not watching this one and just saw the score. Is Team North America just that good or is Sweden having a terrible game?

Henrik swiss cheese Lundqvist turned up for these two games. Sorry, he is way too much Jekyll and Hyde. And often the worse of them in the National team as well. Good thing Markström has taken a big step. Can be needed further on.

So typical Sweden this match. Before the game, everyone looked down on Team Europe, (bottom ranked) etc... But then... It is we that play like the worst of them all. Ok just an exhibition game, but still, it stinks.

The latter like biblical proportions bad

It's not like we've been dominated all game. Hopefully it's a wakeup call for the Russia game.

I hope the arena atmostphere in the opening game against Russia is better. Hopefully that can put the Swedes in a better mood.

So aside from putting 3 in the back of the net he's been invisible (which isn't a bad thing for a player like him)...

I get that you're salty, but that's just a ridiculous statement.

Salty?

Why would I have anything against Drai? He hasn't been noticeable at all aside from those three instances where he scored. Just a fact, wouldn't care if he had been dominant, doesn't mean anything to me anyway, haha..

Sloppy game from Sweden and bad goaltending.

In the third, Draisaitl had a nice steal in the neutral zone much like he did in the NHL and deftly tapped it forward for the entering player.

The players are still gliding around laughing on the ice. I wonder if they will laugh when they're down 5-1 against NA and about to be eliminated?

Henrik Lundqvist's save percentage in his last four games:

April 21 vs. Pitt, .778, Pulled
April 23 @ Pitt, .739, Pulled
September 10 vs. Finland, .786
September 14 vs. Europe, .773, Pulled
