Wasting Barkov in 5on5 is unacceptable. Something needs to change and we all know it won't be jokinen.

Jokinen has been dragging Barkov down more but you're right, if they make a change it will be
Lehtera-Barkov-Jokinen which would be even worse.

It has no bearing on what calibre a player he is. It pre-tourney games did that, Ovie and Malkin would be hot garbage.

And if Finland is smart, they'll give the player who led them in scoring at the WCs in the spring similar leeway.

Ristolainen has really developed into a legit #1. At the time of his draft I didn't love his skating or pace but he's come a long way - terrific all-round player now and really nasty too. One of the best young D in the game.
