Europe barely showing any emotion at all. Only just enough to somewhat help Halak. Nothing going on at all between whistles.

If Matthews keep playing like this, he's probably going to be thrown back to center.

Split up Eichel and Gaudreau. Don't think they click well.

McDavid + Scheifele look great together, and the Matthews-RNH-Mackinnon line have good chemistry. I'd keep those 3 together.

Josi was by far the best player on Europe.

1 tune up period, it's okay!

Watching Eichel play reminds of the questions I have around his play without the puck, would like to see him be more aggressive.

U23 team is fun as hell, going to destroy the Finns with this speed.

Could have told you that before the game . This is just not a how you build a team .

I'm actually glad that NBC carries hockey and not ESPN...what the hell are they going on about? And that broad wont stop laughing like a hyena. :eviltongu

LOL! The Finns beat NA! I am very sure. Finland is very good in "Best to best" Tournaments.

Trochek managed to look awful and good at the same time. A few brutal turnovers followed by a wicked move and scoring chance.

I think you bring Larkin in next game to replace one of Miller or Trochek. We'll see how the rest of the game goes.

Matthews-McDavid-Scheifele
Drouin-RNH-MacKinnon
Gaudreau-Eichel-Saad
Larkin-Couturier-Trochek

I think we end up seeing something like that when the tournament begins.

I thought Matthews would be the odd guy out because he hasn't played in the NHL and McLellan wouldn't want to ruffle any feathers but it seems like so far RNH, Mack and Matthews have been played as the second line.

I haven't really been paying attention to the defence, but Rielly, Ekblad and Jones have all been good so far

As a Team Canada fan I am glad we don't meet these guys early on if that first period is any indication.

They would be tough to handle tonight if they can keep up this pace.

This team can beat any of the teams in the tournament.

Some of the gloating here is just bizarre.

"The young guns are fast so that means the naysayers were wrong!"

As if a supposed lack of speed was ever the argument against this idea.
