Sweden is the dominant one,
Finland is the one who fights with heart

Finland scores goals via direct shots,
Sweden scores goals via lucky bounces

Finland wins because of better goaltending,
Sweden loses because goalie fails them

= Typical Finland-Sweden ice hockey game :) .

If your skate is in the crease, it's not a good goal. Learn the rules. The blue paint in the goalie crease is where your guys can't be before the puck is shot there. He clearly was in there, no controversy.

1999 is calling

It's just that in a typical Finland-Sweden game, Sweden wins. ;)

Good entertainment rinne gone godmode players actually competing (well for an exhibition game atleast)

Yes, let's just ignore all the scoring opportunities.
I don't want to ignore them. I wanted them to drive and shoot more. Still having a hard time figuring out why Backstrom didn't shoot on his open chance on net. Going for the wrap around wasn't his best decision.

The tickets cost a lot. You can go to Sweden and back and watch the game at the same price as you can see this one game here in Finland. That is all.

Thanks!

I heard you guys mention before that the tickets were expensive, that's what I thought was probably the reason.

Dont really care about the dissallowed goal (think it should have counted tho) and over 64 minutes I think Sweden was a little bit better.

Will be fun to follow these team in the World Cup and if Swden doesnt win I for sure will cheer for Finland. Barkov is amazing

Laine still needs to be willing to take the hits. Seemed like he was bit contact shy, especially in the second. But still, decent showing against best on best Sweden. Hopefully he learned something and can be bit more brazen against swedish D next Saturday.

Barkov is just something else. We've had Selanne and Kurri. But never a center with that kind of potential. S. Koivu had some stones and promise. But Barkov is different. So calm, like ice running through his veins. He rarely makes mistakes and when the puck is on his stick, he's so slick. Small, fast and highly effective moves. Which almost always ends up in good things. I think we might be legitimately talking about a guy who has a chance to be the best all-around player in the world.

What? We were better, we scored more. And it was a very organized defence against the 2nd favourites of the tournament that is much stronger on paper than us.

Didn't score a whole lot more though (and if that no-goal doesn't happen it's unlikely to go to overtime, but yeah, ifs and buts don't count). I meant that Finland's game didn't look so good except occasional individual efforts. Fortunately there's time to work on it and we have a really good coach.

Sweden's D is really strong on paper and in practice but the F corps is closer. Sedins with Eriksson were surprisingly good though.

Funny game.

Sweden deserved to win, we where better. Especially in OT, where we complete dominated.

Finns celebrate this win like a olympic gold.

One thing that suprised me was how physical Sweden was. I hope they keep playing like that.

Sure if goals scored is the only way to measure it but in what other way was Finland the better team?

In hockey the one who scores more goals wins. Are you new to the sport? There's no style points and judges like in figure skating, maybe that's what you're expecting?

Actually these are training matches where the results don't matter, how you do it does.
