Sweden was better. We got work to do. Not just the awful PP but ES too. At times the play looked really confused, no system

Markstrom looks much better than 2 years ago. Sweden might not be in trouble after all even if Lundqvist can't play.

Lol... thank God it was a exhibition game. No harm. Good practice for the real thing coming up. Nucks-line looked really good. Bäckström's not so... Hedman a bit off. etc... But as a whole, better period for period. Enroth had a rough night though.

Yeah, not unhappy with this game really. A ton of PK's, a disallowed goal for and a weak goal against cost us this game. A bunch of players didn't play to their potential, Karlsson, Forsberg & Landeskog to name a few.

I expect a much stronger Sweden on home soil

Not really, Sweden totally dominated and should have scored a goal for sure. A bit unlucky to say the least. Soderberg had a good game though

Well, it's a scoring game, should and would haves don't count. Rinne was mostly quite ok, though a huge number of rebounds. Pretty good start from Finland as Sweden is such a strong team on paper, much better than us.

lol what counts as a prime chance for you?

They cycled the puck near the blueline and did fancy drop/no look passes above the slot. The best chances I recall were when Rinne had to scramble to get the puck behind him and when they overpassed on a 2-on-1.

Not sure I have ever seen such dominance in 3v3 before to see the game end in a loss hah. Great to have hockey back!

Lots of rust as seen. It'll be a better game between the two on saturday

so you dont watch hockey that much?

What? We were better, we scored more. And it was a very organized defence against the 2nd favourites of the tournament that is much stronger on paper than us.

over 23k views so far for an exhibition game. please tell me again how no one cares about the tourney

Well it's Sweden-Finland, those games, no matter what will always have passionate fans arguing. Check back to meaningless round robin games in the IIHF and you will see the same.

Sweden played that overtime just like Wild did last season. Keep the puck possession on the corners and get maybe one or two good looks but then lose the puck and it's prime scoring chance for the opponent.
