Laine made one "bad" pass but it was an aerial one and the guy knocked it out of the air... So it was more like a high reward high risk play than a bad one, I'd say.

What a save by Rinne on the breakaway by Kane, even he looked surprised that it didn't go in.

Okay, Finland forward are playing better, D not so much. I expect a better second from them.

Rinne and Quick are making some unreal saves. Game has finally gotten pretty entertaining

Määttä oh my god Finnish defense is so garbage.

No wonder Määttä said "Jumalauta".

Finns need to just hang in there, the Americans will start to wear out playing like this late in the 3rd

Impressed so far.

3rd line looks so much better now.

REALLY impressive.

He's so calm, it's almost unnatural. He doesn't make the obvious or hasty play and seems to know his limits really well.

I feel the need to make a Sebastian Aho highlight video in addition to a Laine one.

Jokipakka was pretty brutal in that period. Our D as a whole is in trouble with the aggressive US forecheck, which was to be expected. On the other hand, nice to see Rinne is on top of his game. That's vital for us to have a chance in this tourney. Also I liked what I saw from Aho in his first game in the small rink. Very smart player. Laine also seems to be waking up. Let's take it to those 'muricans in the 2nd!

Yes ... he's been very good in this game. Exciting player to watch. Some great young Finnish players joining the NHL

What an entertaining period. The start looked bad, but I really liked it otherwise. We look ten times faster and tenacious out there than in Sweden. I don't think Aho lost possession even once, I'm calling a 50 point season in the NHL at this point. Laine looked very good too, setting up Finland's most dangerous chance(s). D has been a bit shaky, but overall as a watcher this has been very fun.

Jokipakka was truly terrible. It's a shame because his second game was pretty good and the first one was nice as well. Jokipakka kept on making terrible plays when simple, safe plays were available.

Well, I guess our defence will not be enough in this tournament, but after a couple years we start looking really solid... And I wouldn't underestimate Finland in any single game even in this World Cup.
