How can he be that ......... that he benches Laine for the whole damm 2 minutes when he was our best player and sniped a pp goal just few mins earlier, ....... Marjamaki.

Marjamaki lost this game for us, 0 shoooters on the ice and reacting too late.
 
Good thing that Granlund was there making use of his slapshot with incorrect handedness over Laine.
 
WTF Finland, Laine literally built his reputation last season on these situations and you don't put him on???
 
Horrible 2nd, nice ending. Laine could've been useful there in the end but they did end up with some shots still. IMO nice come back was more important than winning/losing thing tonight.
 
Risto and Laine were amazing, hilarious Chelios and Hull were calling the Finnish coach out for not putting Laine out there for that final PP.
 
Ok game. When we get the rust off we can challenge anyone. Best things were that Laine found his confidence and Rinne was good. Aho worked so much better in first than JJ. Lehterä can stay in fourth.
 
Maybe the coach was more worried about keeping Aho and Laine healthy going into the tournament than he was winning the game? Idk... the decision puzzles me.
 
Quick had a great game. We had plenty of good chances, we just didn't really have the luck on our side. Maybe it was karma for not putting Laine out there on the 6-on-4.
 
Marjamäki is such a fool. Not playing Laine on the last minutes on the powerplay makes no sense whatsoever. The best goal scorer not on the ice who's proven so many times before he can be the difference maker when most needed. Laine brought Finland back into the game and wasn't given the chance to tie the game. Just goes beyond common sense. Atleast Marjamäki was bright enough to give Aho a shot and replace Jokinen on the Barkov line. Still whatever was going in his head at those last minutes better not show up again when the real games begin.

I agree but also understand Marjamäki. Laine can be very risky player, he makes still stupid decisions at times trying to pass through 3-4 players. Marjamäki wanted experience in the last minutes, Laine has the shot, but also is prone to mistakes on PP. We have seen that many times, don't close eyes from that.
