Rumor: Everything JT Miller | Elias Pettersson trade Thread

They were talking about Boston on the DFO Rundown, and Franks point (which I agree with, no offense B's fans) is that they don't have the assets. Hampus Lindholm + Zacha + 1st for Pettersson was floated by Gregor, I like the players but for Pettersson given the age of everyone involved? The players are fine but both older. I don't see it.

Dhaliwal has mentioned a number of times Columbus as one of the few teams having the assets to make a Pettersson trade. And I agree.

They joked about Kent Johnson (local kid) but Dhali back peddled on specifics. Fantilli seems like the obvious candidate to be the primary ask coming back. I think that's something the Canucks would really think long & hard about for Petey. Thats if Columbus badly wanted to expedite things of course, & make that move. Which I wouldn't fault them or their fans for not wanting too.

Canucks receive:
Nikolaj Ehlers

Jets receive:
Seth Jarvis
Carolina 2025 2nd

Canes receive:
Elias Pettersson

Go, fight
Why would Vancouver choose Ehlers over Jarvis and a 2nd? Lol

Jets would just trade Ehlers for EP… no reason to include the Canes
No reason to include the Jets, actually.

Boston probably calling Rutherford now. They probably frontrunners to get ep40. Losses are mounting.
Offering what?

Lindholm and Zad :sarcasm:

I think Boston would love to add either player, I dont think they have the assets that the Canucks want back though. My guess is this drags on into the offseason when more teams have the capspace to be involved. Mid season massive trades like this rarely happen. Its @Canucks LB fault for amping us up and @Three On Zero for crashing when he was Petts and Millers uber driver. :sarcasm:

The Flyers should be all in on Pettersson. They are loaded with young talent, a stud farm, a couple of key vets that are tradable, and a boatload of high picks. They desperately need an elite-level center to play with Michkov for the foreseeable future.

Something massive like: Pettersson to Flyers for...

Tippett
Laughton
Bonk
1st in 2025 (Edmonton)

Honestly, that’s an insane overpayment

All I can come up with from Boston for EP40 is Carlo, Zacha, Poitras and their 1st. Zacha takes EP40's spot, Carlo becomes Hughes' partner for the next 5-7 years, Poitras is Miller's eventual replacement and you have a chance of getting a top 15 pick with the way the Bruins are playing. Bruins still need to shed about a million and a half somewhere afterwards as well.

Likely Frederic for a prospect somewhere else and call up Lysell.

Elias' injury scares me in this deal and the huge cap for the that long is also scary. Also, worried about giving up Poitras right now when it's looking like he should be back up before a big move is made.

Finally, Bruins could bottom out with that huge loss on D and end up giving Vancouver a top 10 pick as well. Price is in Vancouver's favour as the Bruins lose their 6th in a row.
