Tavares is on pace for 40 goals and 80 points. IMO $5M would be a team friendly deal, less than 4 would be straight up charity

I could see four or just below if both sides were interested in a 5 or 6 year deal with full nmc, but I guess that's kinda unlikely

Why would u pay a guy 11+ million dollars who is only worth 2 depth players to you?

Either you are overpaying his contract or seriously underrating what it would cost to acquire a player who commands a contract of that size.

I'd rather take back Girard if needed to make the math work.

I would do Girard and Ritchie for Miller but I'm 98.7% sure that the Canucks are keeping both guys here.

I’m not saying the value is there in that particular deal but Strome is Washington’s 1C and is out producing Pettersson pretty handily this year. Wouldn’t exactly call him a depth piece
