Guys, I have to say I feel like I’ve been had. I went out for a 90 minute walk this evening and despite all the proclamations of crowds everywhere and people just living their lives like normal from @Sens, I barely saw a single other person.

I walked down long stretches of Bloor and College between 6:30p and 8p while crossing paths with maybe a handful of people.

What gives? I thought the streets were packed? I thought the lockdowns weren’t working? I thought people were defying the restrictions in massive numbers?

How could I have only come across a few people on two of the busiest streets in the city?

Is @Sens...full of it???

I don't care for the way thàt he is presenting his opinion but what he is saying is not far from the truth. Last April, you could have fired a cannon down Innes Road on a Saturday afternoon and hit no one. It was eery. Nowadays, weekend traffic is as busy as it ever was.

And i do question the lockdown tactics. Lock down Peel. People get in their cars and drive to Scarborough to hit the stores ovwr there, logically bringing the virus with them.

I don't know what the answer is other than knowing there is covid fatigue everywhere

Amazing work, he's now able to operate in exactly the same way every other restaurant has been operating while his doors have been closed.

Is that the one who was also operating without a license and with numerous health code violations? If so, opening in any capacity is an undeserved win for someone like that.

Monday night. Most restaurants and bars are closed. Do that walk on Thursday night, Bruv. :sarcasm:

He can’t reopen until he gets his licensing issue in order. But after that he can reopen for takeout and delivery only.
Imagine being such a dumbass that you needed lawyers to help you reopen your business to operate normally? What a real figurehead for the willfully ignorant movement.

Its possible you may have felt even worse had you not gotten the flu shot that year.

Getting the flu shot and then get the flu is just bad odds, but not related. The flu or covid vaccine causing the illness is just as likely as a chicken regrowing itself and start clucking inside your stomach after eating a chicken wing

I don't think I implied it was related, it was just bad luck, really. I am not overly concerned about the COVID vaccine, a little bit, but by the time we may actually receive it, there will be plenty of people vaccinated by then. Ontario is saying 2M doses by March. That will take a massive bite out of the vaccine as that will take care of health workers and many LTC homes

You should really stop posting in this thread. You are embarassing yourself

That you still don't understand after all this time how much worse the situation would be with no measures is mesmerizing.

Be kinda interesting to know who “they” are ? I mean, chief medical officer and associate chief ? Who’s giving them the advice.

Toronto getting record highs allowing big box stores to stay open while the little guys die

Terrible PR
Wait, I thought it was people leaving Toronto and going to other regions that was increasing the numbers? Which argument are you sticking to?

Let’s talk about Dr Yaffe comments shall we

She rarely looks at them and when she does she just repeats what is on them. What is controversial here? Many people "read slides" and it's something that teachers and professors constantly harp on their students about.

All offense intended here - you've said you're a cook, right? You follow a step by step guide, right? You have to prepare food, right?

Why on earth would you think a public press conference would be better as a complete riff with no preparation, no data, nothing? They have prepared stuff to talk about. They might even occasionally read from a script they were involved in preparing. There's nothing nefarious in that. Anyone who thinks there is... would be a legitimate moron.

They will take questions after where they are put on the spot.
