Agreed. Toronto is exactly where I'd like to see Kane end up.leafs should take a gamble on kane
NHLPA grievance was automatic whether there are grounds for it or not.If it is successful (doubtful), I suspect the Sharks will file their own grievance to grieve the NHLPA grievance. So his contract is terminated, but would a successful NHLPA grievance result in the reinstatement of his contract?

Incidentally that would be very unlikely to work. Basically while it is an unusual situation, the judge could do something along the lines of issuing an order that she get x % of Evander Kane's earnings for the next x number of years. (With the wages being garnished under the circumstances.) An alternate possibility is the ex-wife would have an incentive to delay finalizing the divorce settlement until he at least has a new contract signed in the future, but the percentage move might be the one a judge would be most inclined to implement under the circumstance.Probably a POS move to make sure his ex wife gets nothing.
meanwhile Kane will gamble against the Leafsleafs should take a gamble on kane

That seems awfully convenient for San Jose’s cap situation
They should have to eat the cap hit for the next 3 years even if they don’t have to pay Kane the money.
