These few posters will do anything to discredit Bouchard, yet when you bring up comparable plays by other great players.

They just ignore it or move the goalposts.
Bouchard is going to be a very good dman but he's had an awful series. He's shot pucks into shin pads more in the first 3 games than the entire last 3 rounds.

Florida has adjusted for him and now he must also adjust. Still didn't see it in game 4 as well.

If anything hope we can pump the brakes on this better than makar hype.

McDavid gave Bouchard a 2 foot drop at the blueline with Barkov pressuring. Bouchard tried a sidestep/fake move as he's done several times throughout these playoffs with success, but got stuffed by Barkov this time.
You specifically called Bouchard a "low hockey IQ" player on this play for not recognizing that it was Barkov.

Well, you know who tried to spin and deke Barkov SEVERAL times this series? Draisaitl. So it's pretty simple logic...no scratch that...it's YOUR logic

If Bouchard has low IQ for trying to burn Barkov with a move instead of passing it once he recognized it was him, well then Drai must have even less hockey IQ by trying 3-4 times and failing everytime

Like I said, you suggesting a player like Drai of being a low IQ player is a pretty bad take
Dude Bouchard has been turning the puck over way too much. Fact is fact. This also a Bouchard thread not a Drai thread

I haven't said Drai was low IQ. You guys make no sense when you post.

You do realize entire team has shot pucks into blocks, including McDavid and Drai several times. Drai equally as much as Bouchard

So what's your barometer about Bouchard again?

This is like the 5th worst problem with Bouchard.
FLA is being aggressive against him and not giving him room to shoot. Bouchard has had to readjust his angles because of it or just hitting the shins.
His bobbles and inability to keep the puck in on offensive blueline is his biggest issue right now.. unforced errors aplenty.

His bad passes in defensive zone is his second weakness..

Him looking slow/lazy at times is 3rd biggest issue..

All in all he to me is the Draisaitl of defence if Makar is McDavid of defense.

I feel like people think he doesn't care because he has that lazy eye and looks a bit lackadaisical.

The truth is he's been run into the ground Miro Heiskanen style because he's the only good RHD on the team.

He's just calling out the inconsistency in your arguments.

And as per usual you guys just adjust the goalposts.

Oh cmon. Him playing too many minutes doesn't have much to do with him turning the puck over when he's making passes out of our zone. He will hopefully grow from this, but right now he isn't doing very well. Some of us here called this.

Did you see break out pass with 1 min left in the period? He couldn't have made a better pass to the Panthers.

Clearly you have never played a sport at a high level and been fatigued while doing so.

Playing too many minutes is absolutely a thing.

Not at the amount of turnovers he's making. He had all day long at the end of the period, didn't look and passed it right to Florida. Imagine if this resulted in a goal.

You guys have just every excuse out there as to why he isn't playing very well. How about you just admit it.

We'd actually be in this freaking series if it wasn't for Bouchard's mistakes.

Against Florida at 5on5.

Bouchard.

69:30 of ice time..
82CF/58CA
42SF/24SA
1GF/2GA
3.7xGF/1.77xGA
34SCF/21SCA
11HDCF/8HDCA

Ekholm has made similar turnovers in his own zone during this series, yet not even a peep about it because its "Ekholm".

Should we wager on this?
Here you go once again, blaming the series on Bouchard.

Your schtick is getting pretty old.

How about putting some blame on Draisaitl for finally completing his first pass to an Oiler last night on the Holloway goal.

1. For the 10th time this is the Bouchard thread not the Drai thread.

2. Drai has proven he can play at a high level for an extended amount of time and Bouchard has not. (yes Drai has been bad this playoffs)

McDavid and drai are not expected to make outlet passes and shots from the point. McDavid has been doing his job making plays and drai is doing a carry job of epic proportion with his winger quality.

Like I said Bouchard will be a good dman but he needs to adjust. I can't recollect a single bouch bomb in 4 games he's threatened with. Florida has totally neutralized him. He is constantly shooting into Panthers.

So why has Draisaitl turned it over at the blue line as many times as Bouchard while on the powerplay?

Is that his wingers fault then too?

HFOil when Bouchard turns it over to barkov - What an idiot!

So you never saw him hit the crossbar or the 3-4 saves Bob made on him? On Bouch bombs btw. Kind of bias to post on a player when you admit you haven't even saw a shot happen. No?

He actually has 14 shots this series. More than Drai Btw. And sorry to break it to you, but Drai shooting from down low on the PP or 5v5 is a set play. Just like a point shot. It's why it's known as Drais office

Was the only Oiler in the game tonight with a positive xGF%.

Every other D besides him and ekholm got absolutely caved.

Great job getting the shot through off Hyman and in.

Lucky we won this game despite all the good plays he made.

If it were a loss it would be nothing but highlights of him getting picked at the blueline and the one play he rimmed it for no reason
