1-1 was a fair result. England had more possession but didn't create much. Bushchan tipped Saka's shot onto the bar. Ukraine scored their only shot on target.

Don't disagree with the Norway assessment as we snatched victory from the grasp of defeat there, but the Georgia game not so much. I don't think they really caused any problems or created any chances barring the missed penalty at the end. And the weather was horrendous which didn't exactly contribute to a good game of football.
I never intended to imply that Georgia was a dominant team. Instead, I meant to highlight that Scotland had less possession, and the statistics suggested that Georgia matched Scotland. While I may not find Scotland's style of play particularly impressive, I do acknowledge the positive results they have been achieving, recognizing that their style of football is effective.

England had a typical Southgate performance, dull, unimaginative and relying on someone to produce something out of nothing to get a result.

He did the job he was hired for originally which was to repair the fractured nature of the squad and he did that extremely well, but extending his contract was a massive mistake.

The team get wins despite him not because of him, there's only maybe 2 performances against decent teams in the last 7 or so years he's been in charge that you can look at and say yeah the team played well.

It's probably telling that McGinn and McTominay are the biggest goal threats. Adams is the sort of forward whose biggest value is his workrate and interplay, Dykes his physicality. In about three years Ben Doak is going to be leading the line for club and country and it's going to be some show.

That aside, our best performers are key players for top half EPL sides. The level our best players are at is arguably as high as it's ever been, and probably for the first time in my life it seems like this might continue in the coming years with a decent level of player playing across Europe, rather than Rangers/Celtic and then a few token Championship jobbers. Norway really don't have that level of depth, and Georgia definitely don't. The matches between the teams in the group so far reflect this.

I believe I have already addressed the player issue. Therefore, I will solely focus on the final statement this time.

In my view, Scotland hasn't necessarily demonstrated that they are a superior team based solely on results. Instead, they have exhibited qualities such as superior coaching, excellent organization, remarkable determination, favorable margins, occasional luck, and outstanding efficiency. I have provided detailed reasons for this perspective. When observing the Norway game as a neutral observer, it appeared to me that Norway had a more appealing and entertaining style of play, and it would not have been undeserving had Norway won.

France, Portugal and Scotland now the only countries still with a 100% record in these qualifiers.

Then and there
Italy finally take the lead at the start of 2nd half as Immobile slots home from a rebound off the bar.

Wow, what a free kick goal by Enys Bardhi on 81st minute.

Not a good result for Italy, I bet that last match against Ukraine will be the decider and they probably will have to win. Swiss held to a draw in Kosovo but no damage really done as nobody else won in the group

Germany has a must win against France.
And Maignan hasn't been scored on since he took over the starting spot.

Lasted half an hour before I kept nodding off in that England game. Had a feeling they weren't winning so I left and sure enough, 1-1 draw.

It'll likely be another tournament they waste with this generation of players under Southgate next year.

It was tough two dropped points for the Swiss, to concede like that with 5 seconds left of the added time.

With 30 secs left they had control of the the ball deep in the opponents half, should have just gone to the corner flag. Instead they tried to create a scoring chance and turn the ball over and immediately 4 or 5 of their players are left stranded near the Kosovo penalty area when Kosovo launches a direct counter attack.

And even then both of the two Swiss CBs fail to mark the Kosovo CF (Muriqi) and leave him free around the spot to score when he was the only player in a scoring position the ball could be passed to.

Amazing failure. Worse than what happened to France in the WC 1994 qualification, if they fail to qualify because of this.

No because France's 94 crash was a two game affair. First Israel and then Bulgaria at the last second.

Finland not wanting to play ball at all... Wanna bet they'll get a last-minute counter-attack goal and take the game?

Well, won't be mad - Denmark look shite.

Kamara and Hradecky really stepped up to ensure the Finnish team didn't get overwhelmed. Both of them put on quite a show with their exceptional performances. But here's the thing - the Finnish team as a whole didn't seem too interested in going on the attack; their main goal appeared to be locking down a goalless draw. That's why the football match ended up being a bit of a snooze fest, to be honest. Still, you've got to hand it to the Danish team for their unwavering determination.

On another note, I still wan't Hjulmand gone.

Now, let's talk about Højbjerg, he truly embodied the spirit of a warrior - He never gives up.

Finland can still qualify. That would be a bigger achievement than some Skoda cup-victory.

What a great goal by Albania in a game lacking severe quality. Great atmosphere though. I just find it funny Poland sacked their last coach for ultra defensive play and they go and hire f***ing Fernando Santos  If Albania can hold on, looking at their fixtures they should qualify automatically

We've already qualified once so no.

Tight group - Denmarks hardest games are behind them. Only have San Marino away, Kaz home, and Slovenia home, and ofc. a shitty game away in Belfast.
Finland's battle is with Slovenia now for 2nd place in the group.
