It is a real shame the Senators owner is such a tire fire.
Any rebuild usually provides some hope but EM makes liking the Sens a really tough thing to do...

I can only think he is saying for them to deal with the bank, which caused the lawsuit. I have no clue why they dishonoured a TD Bank draft. Either way, I'm sure he had his chances to avoid yet another embarrassing headline or pay up. He chose embarrassing.
Thanks. At least he didn't use all of his credit application! Left with 100k on it! Anyway the drafts are included in there. I've never seen one in Australia, looks like a cheque to me!
Only new things I learned from those docs is that Sheldon Plener (Sens governor) is the one who was first legally informed and provided an affidavit. Melnyk first applied for the 1,000,000 credit line with the casino while he was still biovail CEO

This guy does not need to be condemned, he needs to be helped. As in a shrink. Millions of people will starve to death the world over this year and he is interested in hitting on a Queen/two !!!! And he wants our tax dollars to build him an arena.
He is making Mayor Watson seem like the most sensible human being on the planet.
Ehn, it's his money he can do with it as he pleases, I agree there are better uses than gambling but that is his prerogative.
The problem is when the debt that is owed isn't paid.

Agreed, and EM does give to charity, as well as apparently gamble.
Personally I’d rather he just gave me the 900000 if he was going to do different, but hey I have my own and my families best interests at heart.
Yeah...those don't look like any bank drafts I've ever seen or issued. These are bounced cheques.

I know it's a minor detail, but the instruments in question do have a "ChkNbr" in top right.
My complete laymans opinion is they are probably special cheques from a private wealth management account.

This is what I want to know. I've never seen one and the court documents look like cheques to me. Someone that has seen bank drafts, do they normally look like cheques? I imagined they would look more like deeds. No idea why I thought that.
