50 cross checks per game go uncalled in front of the net.

Rarely do you get called if you are laying it on the hip.

That's not relevant to what I was inferring. Crosschecking is a minor penalty. Dorion used that word. The fact that all those crosschecks go uncalled is as stupid as what he said. He should've said he's good at 'boxing opponents' or 'tough to play against'...
A player shouldn't be applauded for getting away with blatant infractions.

This is public dorion we're talking about though. He made a sentence. High fives

Dang that Haley guy has balls... Gudbranson is kind of a big dude

Speaking of that, I'm kinda wondering who's the strongest guy on the team

Nick Paul 6'4" 229 lbs
Erik Gudbranson 6'5" 216 lbs
Josh Brown 6'5" 216 lbs
Braydon Coburn 6'5" 223 lbs
Christian Jaros 6'4" 220 lbs
Austin Watson 6'4" 205 lbs
Logan Brown 6'6" 227 lbs
Logan Shaw 6'4" 207 lbs
Artyom Anisimov 6'4" 198 lbs
Brady Tkachuk 6'3" 192 lbs

A few giants. It's probably not Anisimov or Logan and I don't know, Brady looks taller/bigger than that

They'll have a lot of time to compare amongst themselves as opposing players fly by them.

I'm not sure this comment applies to who. Logan Shaw won't be in the line-up. Jaros too but is pretty mobile anyway. Brady Tkachuk, Anisimov, Nick Paul and Josh Brown are quite mobile for their size. Gudbranson and Watson are average so I guess it could be them

But the only guy that this would really apply is Coburn since he has lost quite a bit of mobility with time, but there's hope that he stays most of the year in the taxi squad.

Jeez gudbranson and J Brown are pretty lanky. I would have guess they were heavier than that

Logan brown coming it at 227 not bad

Hockey is a physical sport, a cross check in front of the net is part of the game and isn't an infraction every time. The fact that this bothers you so much is a little strange.

It's an expected part of playing in front of the net and why so many players avoid that area. Some D just seem to get away with it more than others. It's the kind of player you hate on the other team but love on yours when he gets away with it all the time. Although, knowing the Sens + penalties, he'll get called often.

I don't like blatant crosschecks going uncalled. The fact that it has become "part of the game" is a problem in my eyes.
I'm all for fighting and hockey being physical, but crosschecking calls need to happen much more frequently. If you want a guy to have a hard time in front of the net - use your body, not your stick.

It's not "become" a part of the game, it's been a part of the game forever, and it's far less prevalent than it used to be

It's a major problem with the game, doesn't matter when it became prevalent.

Karma caught up to Pronger, same with Byfuglien. It's easy to play the big man when you use your stick like that.

A dman has no leverage to move a forward planted in the crease with their body. The player would just spin off the attempt taking the dman out of position to defend. Forwards get away with their fair share of abuse inside that area too.

I’m not sure 10’s of millions of dollars playing a sport, retiring young, and getting a plum job in an NHL front office is an example of Karma, unless of course you meant good Karma...

Karma? 100 sheets in the bank, amazing family and a hall of fame career? I hope karma catches up to me soon.
