Not an awful first period, but very few chances being generated again. Lalonde looking solid.

I am excited to see Ty Henry play for the first time this season in person...his limited play to this point and he is better than Holomego IMO.

Henry has speed. His second game at the EIa and he’s more noticeable today than his first outing.

Not even really sure what to say about that game...

There was very little energy. We had a TON of stupid mistakes including giving London their 2nd goal, but I feel like it wasn't our game to win. We essentially played 2 offensive and 2 defensive lines the whole game. We finally came alive in the last 2 minutes.

We need to ditch the dump and chase. For about 10 - 12 minutes in the 3rd we would dump the puck, London would collect, skate it out and throw it low for us to rinse and repeat.

Not sure it was the result we needed, but maybe it helps end the slide we have been on.

Gilmartin suspended for 10 games. For what?

I understand he had some extracurriculars against London, but didn’t see anything (live) overly crazy. Sure he threw his broken stick after he was slashed, but Kulakov had his man pinned to the ice and continued to punch him for less games.

I’ll have to relook at the end of the game for Gilmartin, but this wasn’t the time to lose a key forward.

He did punch Leonard numerous times when he was already down during their fight

My guess is it has something to do with the three 10 minute misconduct penalties in the same game.

In any event, the lows of stupid stuff and discipline problems within the team continue as @G0Otters pointed out earlier this week. We get Kulakov back and now Gilmartin is gone for all of December. It is honestly like this team wants to lose or handicap themselves so much it is making excuses as to why they can't win.

Sad in all honesty.

I guess he came back out of the locker room and started banging on the glass when Erie scored their 2nd goal to take it to OT.

That makes more sense on top of the misconducts he had.

He was targeted all night, but didn’t control his emotions. Hopefully we can call someone up to fill in with the offense.

This team has been frustrating. They had the lead up until the last 5 mins and it was a repeat of the London game. They didn’t take as many penalties as Guelph, but we didn’t capitalize on the PP.

We should’ve won this game and come March, it’ll hurt.

We’re up 2-0 and do nothing the rest of the game. We have another powerplay without a shot. Something needs to chance and if we miss playoffs again clear the house please

I feel like they need the “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all” talk.

Morton has taken his share of penalties, but atleast he’s not hot headed with the officials.

We can’t win if we shoot ourselves in the foot.

When the team wins it’s great, but now that we’ve continuously lost so many winnable games, we’re doomed. If I’m Jim Waters I’m on the phone the whole bus ride home to discuss discipline and self control.

I think that's great and all, but how do we bench and/or discipline players when 1/4 are either hurt or suspended hahaha!

In all seriousness, this is a poor reflection on leadership AND coaching.

Boy, my finger is hovering over the panic button again. Just earlier this season I made a long post about my frustrations with Dave Brown and the coaching staff, then they turned around and won five games in a row. So I'm not going to trash talk yet, maybe they are just extremely inconsistent. This really feels like bad leadership though with how undisciplined this team is right now. And the roster is just not where it needs to be talent wise at all. It's been 5 years since they went for it, many other teams rebuild better than this.

In all honesty, this team was climbing. Young kids, some decent leadership, a new "superstar" and a coaching staff getting their first real shot.

A dumpster fire...a lack of discipline...a lack of development...

The number of combinations of kids over the last 5 years of all talent levels not reaching their potential (one or two have, but not many). Kids leaving and getting exponentially better.

Honestly, if you're not hitting a panic button please at least tell me you've composed an email to Jim Waters, hahaha!
