They were warned about the mouth guard violation so it’s inexcusable.

Kyrou picked on up off the ice and the ref questioned him. Kyrou pointed to the mouth as if he had one in and put the one he picked up in his mouth. He got lucky.
Never forget Tkachuk who had his mouthpiece out 24/7 (still does) and yet they never called it. Such a stupid rule when they pick and choose when to call it… subjective when it should be the most objective thing ever

Almost positive Saganiuk broke his hand.
Hopefully he’s okay. I missed this. I’ll have to rewatch the 3rd to see what happened. Mark Sheig was there so maybe an injury update but I doubt it.

He took a slap shot to the wrist/hand. Glove went flying. He came to the bench in excruciating pain and koop took him straight back. You could hear him yell, "I think I broke my f'ing hand" as he was coming off.

Also agree about the win, but sometimes when special things are meant to happen you win games like this and ones you shouldn't.

Coaches played with the lines a ton today to try to get something, anything to work.

We can’t afford to lose him. I did see the glove but didn’t think anything of it. I hope he’s okay. I don’t know a good view of the bench area from where I’m at.

On the plus side, atleast we get Johnson back soon and Kulakov off suspension.

I think what turned them around was Alboim getting out of the box in the 3rd. He created a few good opportunities on his own to gain momentum for the team. He kept the puck in SOO territory. Props to him since he hasn’t had many mentions.

He (Alboim) has been progressing fairly well IMO. You can tell he is still young, but he plays consistent and seems to have a cool head. As long as we're on the young defenders, Sauder as well is doing pretty well. I love how he jumped in to help Edwards after that horrible hit and threw down.

Holomego, very raw, needs to get physical with his 6'3 frame. Very timid. This was the first time I've seen him play in person but he looked very shaky.

As far as Kulakov, the two postponed games messed him up. He supposedly now comes back AFTER London, which hurts.

I also thought it was awesome to see Cohen put 2 in the net as it seems he'd been quiet as of recent.

Have to love when a coach regurgitates exactly what you have said for a long time - this team has to work to win. They should be much more confident and believe in themselves compared to recent years but they can’t think that means they get to wake up like it’s 2017 and they can just out talent people. They need to put in the effort and if they can do that consistently, they should be in solid shape.

Loved this post game from BJ. Such night and day to Hartsburg holy cow

Mouth guard helps lower concussion effects. It should be worn. Maybe PPs need be awarded so players understand there is a rule prohibiting improper wear

That was my point.. they should call it consistently.

I think there needs to be consistency on enforcement before considering further alterations to the rule. Hastings or whomever it was called a crazy tight game and a lot of calls seemed to be ones we would normally have leeway with.

I saw on the scoresheet for the thanksgiving Soo game there was a penalty "served by Cohen" for illegal stick. Anyone know what the deal was?

Someone, I assume it was Cohen, lost his stick in the SOO end. As he skated by our bench Sedore threw him a new one instead if handing it to him.

Prediction for who the teddy bear toss scorer is tonight?

I’m going to say Bresette or Spence.

Should Saganiuk be injured, it appears Ty Henry is back on the roster. Could they be dressing 7 D tonight and an incomplete 4th line?

I'm going with Spence for the scorer...don't mean to follow suit there haha

Also, if Saganiuk misses any amount of time it's going to be huge for the team to try and push through. We are about a quarter of the way through the season which puts us right around 30 wins or just above. If we lose Colby two things come to mind...

Molnar is that MUCH more important to bring over and secondly if we lose Colby for any length of time and can't get Molnar to report, is DB and company smart enough to try and get top dollar for Kyrou and possibly others?

We are entering a crucial next quarter of the season which will likely determine what we do at the trade deadline.

My suspicion remains true. Saganiuk out. Ty Henry in on D.

Huge loss for Erie. Can only hope it precautionary, but likely not.

Refs didn’t call anything all game and handed Barrie the game on a soft trip call with 2 mins left.

Just an unlucky bounce but wow.

Back at it tomorrow.

I don't think Colby comes back for a while...I'd probably speculate 4 - 6 weeks if his hand is in fact broken, maybe longer.

What’s unfortunate aside from the injury is we don’t have a Otters sports reporter so all we can do is speculate.

Saw this pic from our teddy bear toss yesterday. Could it be possible Colby has deep bruising/sprain since it’s wrapped in ice? Certainly if it was broken it would’ve been casted?

Again speculating since we have no injury report since Victor left ETN.
