I guess you haven't really watched them since Laine has come back. It's made teams have to defend more than one line which in turn makes the entire team stronger...
No i haven't really and I haven't watched all of the teams they are chasing either and you probably haven't watched those teams so it's a push.
It's math basically and the Habs schedule gets tougher in the next 6 games if they gain ground substantially we can revisit this but like I said it's math.
5 points out with 2 games in hand on a few teams in front of them.
speaking of math they have 2 games on the Pens who also have 4 more points and aren't in a spot.
all the teams with spots like Ottawa have the same number of games, TB has played 2 fewer games and has 7 points on them for what it's worth
And they potentially have an NHL caliber back-up goalie now, which is a big plus.
Sure after 1 game you say this....okay.
I mean maybe he is but as a life long Canucks fan this is called the maybe strategy, ie maybe if 7 or 8 things happen then......
Do I personally think they'll make it? Nope. But if they squeak into 7th or 8th... Lane Huston will be a huge reason considering his projected point totals and being second on the time in ice time per game.
Well a fellow poster thinks Laine would be one of the reasons and maybe the back up goalie you are talking about?
Barring an injury Celebrini is the easy favorite here.
