Honestly if he stays healthy it’s celebrini, AINEC.

Was underrated at the draft, he looks like he’s going to be better than bedard …. A winners mentality and work ethic.

Out of all the young stars in the league, he’s easily the guy you want to build around if winning is your end goal.

Celebrini is carrying his linemates. Michkov is being carried.

This is a hilariously clueless take.

Completely out to lunch on this one.

I will never understand why people come here and give authoritative takes on players that they *clearly* don't watch. You're going to be exposed instantly. You might be able to get away with dumb things like this in the break room at work where there's a good chance nobody watches Flyers games, but at this place, where all the fan bases are represented, and many people have NHL packages and watch all kinds of games? You're gonna get called out right away for obvious lies.

Whoosh. Someone was being intentionally hyperbolic to match the energy of someone else in this thread

He probably takes a hard pass on watching east coast games so you are justified in dismissing his opinion.

I'm a Sharks fan with a soft spot for the Flyers. I'm going the rest of the season on these facts:

  • Celebrini is going to be a superstar 3-zones center, Michkov is going to a superstar scoring winger.
  • Both have super high value, both are crazy fun to watch. Both are elevating their teams.
  • Teams play in different conferences and will likely never play in the cup finals.
  • The calder doesn't matter at all.

I agree with all your points except the last. Lots of things don’t matter to the players, but they do to fans. That’s the fun of sports.

sure, but ultimately the Calder is forgotten immediately after it is awarded. Did Oilers fans care that a mid-20s Panarin beat McDavid for the Calder during the following season? No.

IMO Calder is just a fun way of celebrating a new class of Rookies. debating over who should win has always been trivial.

Never ever ever or never in the span of potential Michkov vs Celebrini? :D Altho, as a PHI fan, I am ready for the worst.

I definitely cared that an old-ass Panarin beat Gostisbehere

Celebrini rocking the Bedard special, being a negative player.

the calder is setting up for a massive head-to-head, like when Hughes-Makar battled. Bodes well for both player's future. I cheer for Michkov, but it is pretty easy to see how talented Celebrini is.

So. Anyone proclaiming the battle is mostly over, you'll clearly just have to wait until the very end of the season! Cheers...

P.S. And yes, it's a relevant award
