Out of all the young stars in the league, he’s easily the guy you want to build around if winning is your end goal.

What a poor take. I've been to 3 Flyers game so far this season, Michkov is creating so much for the Flyers, he's the team MVP so far this season, on and off the ice. So yeah, he's not being carried.

I'm a Sharks fan with a soft spot for the Flyers. I'm going the rest of the season on these facts:

• Celebrini is going to be a superstar 3-zones center, Michkov is going to a superstar scoring winger.
• Both have super high value, both are crazy fun to watch. Both are elevating their teams.
• Teams play in different conferences and will likely never play in the cup finals.
• The calder doesn't matter at all.

IMO Calder is just a fun way of celebrating a new class of Rookies. debating over who should win has always been trivial.
