Any Michkov fanboy making fun of fans of ANY prospect for being fanboys is hilarious to me. All of HFB prospect threads has been a Michkov clown show since 2023.

Michkov is undoubtedly in the race and probably the front runner. Posters claiming "AINEC" or that it's abundantly clear who will win the Calder, and that anyone who disagrees with them is not serious, are not serious.

Serious posters will say, damn, this is an exciting Calder race and with 55+ games remaining it'll be really fun to see what happens.

But I'm just an irrational Sharks fan who can't see the obvious truth. That Michkov is so far ahead in posts/60 that he's due for regression and over 1 goal per game incoming. Did you hear he hit a post?
People say a lot of really dumb things around here don't get your feelings hurt, nobody is a clear front runner as of now and there is a lot of hockey to still be played, in my opinion Wolf is having the biggest impact for his team right now, but it's a hard award for a goaltender to win so we'll see what happens.

Most of Michkov's points seem to be coming on the PP while Celebrini is getting a lot more done @ 5 on 5 with a much worse supporting cast.
But his linemates have a lot more points than any Philadelphia player who is not named Konecny, and Konecny does not play on the same line with Michkov, so I am afraid that Michkov's supporting cast is much worse and this is an argument against Celebrini whooops

Of michkovs 19 points, konecny has been apart of 10 of his points, so it would seem he plays with him much more then philly fans want to admit to.

Touche brother, i did indeed forget those two games and you made me eat poop for it

Respect

Michkov is pretty far ahead offensively when you take in context of p60 and xgf numbers with puck luck.

Picture should be clearer by Jan

Sounds good, I’ll make sure to come back to laugh at you again in January.

Celebrini is driving a 1st line. That means he gets top comp every night and he's still doing well. Granted, that's only since he became Macklund.

People sleeping on Hutson. 14pts as a D on a bad team. In the end they won't only choose on points, but the position as well.

I think Hutson has real great potential to be a top 4, PP specialist, with great puck moving skills, it's clear when you watch he's talented. But I don't think he will eclipse Celebrini, Michkov or possibly Wolf for the Calder. The main board thread of Hutson was just ridiculous but he is talented for sure.

Who said anything about eclipsing? He doesn't need to eclipse them, he just needs to hang in there with them. Like I said, he's a D on a terrible team and that will get consideration in the votes if he hangs in. Not even predicting who's going to win, just keeping it real for the haters.

Damn, sj fans are the same as mtl fans?

Anyway its strange to take one over another now between two(or even three with Wolf). There are no obvious candidate now. One can take slow down or another. Its a fan race with great candidates. No reason to be idiot and sh1t on one or another player.

And OT goals are no the same as GWG and never were. If only they are OT goals too.

At least Celebrini plays extremely well indeed and looks like a future star, not... Reinbacher.

Celebrini is a hell of a hockey player, but Montreal have Demidov next year, offensively he’s in the same tier as far as his trajectory as a prospect, who knows what his upside could end up being. And not all Montreal fans are bad, there’s tons of realistic knowledgeable guys on here, the 8 sharks fans though, you be the judge. 🤣🤣 They definitely seem to be incredibly fond of me, how nice.

Yeah everyone is extreeemely fond of Russians nowadays, wonder why?

Michkov plays third and fourth line because he can't defend to save his life, he even got healthy scratched lol. Meanwhile Celebrini leads a defensive stat ahead of all the best two way forwards in the league. Points aren't everything.

Celebrini is better offensively and defensively while only being 18. It's only a debate because he missed 12 games.

Will Celebrini score 19 points in 23 games is still big question mark while Michkov has already done it...

Oh he's talking about the same Celebrini that gets way better usage, plays with much better players 5v5, and doesn't play with 3rd and 4th line plugs? A Penguin fan thats unwilling to admit anything about a Flyers prospect, shocking. Yeah, no thanks, Michkov is superior offensively to Celebrini no matter how you slice it and the advanced statistics back that up. You can say PP merchant all you want, the Flyers PP was the worst in the NHL last year and now somehow its respectable running through a 19 year old, me thinks Michkov is the straw stirring the drink.

Idk, I don't think we've had a sample size good enough to compare stats without large context asterisks (linemates, coach trust etc).

FWIW, I like Michkov's offensive game better (the smartest, most creative young player in years I would say), but Celebrini isn't far behind, great player with a very versatile and mature playing style. Celebrini's 2-way game is of course better than Michkov's, no doubt about that.

The age argument is irrelevant I'd say, because while Celebrini looks like a very complete player already, Michkov has an obvious weakness in his skating speed. So I expect Michkov to improve more while being older.

14 points in 15 games is more impressive. And with 7 points in his last 4 games he looks like he's heating up and may leave all the other rookies in the dust. Not a slight on Michkov, he's very talented and I have him firmly in third after Celebrini and Wolf.

Love to see Hudson win it but this is generally a forward aware since 2000 it has been won by 16 forwards, 5 dmen and 3 goalies if my count is correct.
5 dmen that won?
