Selanne.“Lap the field” lmao. Biased much? I don’t think any rookie ever has done anything close to what you could call “lapping the field” except maybe Gretzky. It certainly won’t be Stankoven, whose upside is likely somewhere between Brendan Gallagher and Alex DeBrincat.
I think Michkov is going to light things up if he gets rope from Torts. He was doubtful for game one, so just another game or two at most I'd imagine.
As for Stankoven, Dallas had the 3rd most goals scored in the league last season. They've brought back most of that offense and there's no reason to think this year they will regress. Stankoven had 30 total minutes of PP time last season. Tonight he had 2:14. If he averages over 2 minutes per game he'll 5x that this season.
He's the one rookie in the best position to excel due to the quality of the team he plays for. He's obviously not going to continue picking up 3 points a night but yeah, 60+ points is very attainable, which will be 10+ points more than everyone else, just like Bedard last season.
Perennial 30 and 40 goal scorers? Gallagher has had 30 twice in 12 years. Debrincat has had 40 twice in 7 years.Yeah, it’s such an insult to compare the great Stankoven to perennial 30 and 40 goal scorers. Lol, this place is so dumb sometimes
one-person league?I got both Celebrini and Michkov on my fantasy team so hopefully they push each other to have great seasons! I'm excited to watch their progress, i feel invested lol (i have Bedard and Slafkovsky also, hope they have big years too)
Depends on his definition but Seider had 170 1st place votes vs Zegras with 15“Lap the field” lmao. Biased much? You don't need to convince me, I love the kid.He was doubtful for game one, so just another game or two at most I'd imagine.

Lane Hutson will win it in the end, if he doesn't get hurt
If Faber wasn't even considered neither is Hutson.
Stankoven's going to lap the field point wise if he remains healthy. The question will be he's in Dallas so voters won't see him and 2nd how badly will he get docked for being eligible after last year's run.
the Billy Boucher disrespect is wild
Over the course of 82 games we're probably going to see a lot of clips of him getting worked over. It's a brutal league for young d-men and even worse for small ones.If Hutson has at least 50 pts while not being a liability defensively, he might win it.
Almost 23 minutes of ice time yesterday. 2nd most on the team. I expect his TOI to reach 25 min by the middle of the season. Possession numbers are ridiculous.
Celebrini and Michkov would need to be at PPG to have a chance.
What, Faber got 75% of of 1-5th place votes, he finished second. If Faber wasn't even considered neither is Hutson.
Ovechkin and Crosby did, but the same season due to the lockout. If Stankoven gets 106 points, he might be well ahead of anyone else.“Lap the field” lmao. Biased much? I remember a Juneau interview where he was advocating for people to vote for him for Calder. Seemed like a bit of sour grapes. Selanne had 76 goals. It wasn't close. Selanne received all 50 first place votes.Selanne had 132 points as a rookie with Lindros having 76, except Joe Juneau was between them with 102. There just seems to always be the rule of two with rookies. A talent comes in, but there is always someone close to them skill wise for anyone to "lap the field".

Faber came 2nd, no?If Faber wasn't even considered neither is Hutson.
10 teams, picking in the middle of the rounds, i went with pure chaos this yearone-person league?
Lets cool it on the "lap the field" talk, win it sure, but hes not Gretzky or McDavid type of talent.Stankoven's going to lap the field point wise if he remains healthy. The question will be he's in Dallas so voters won't see him and 2nd how badly will he get docked for being eligible after last year's run.
