I don't really care what they say about the players. If they're committed to this core or not, it doesn't really do much good to announce their plans here. I do want to see condemnation of the coaching, since that is strictly an internal matter. Keefe can't stay

I think Dubas did good work at the deadline.

But his guy behind the bench couldn't get anything from Tavares or Matthews when it counted.
Or maybe Keefe is such a great coach to actually win a round with a core that isn’t built for the playoffs. Babcock couldn’t.

All I ask is to call it how it is and not to talk down to people. Both Shanny and Dubas last year went up there and were cocky and talked as if it was guaranteed they were going to win a cup. Delusional stuff.

Jokes aside, it is bad when management can't be punctual. It trickles down the organization a sense of casual attitude. When managers can't be punctual employees don't feel the seriousness of the matter at hand.

Not surprising they're late, and unprepared for the media.

I mean, they're going to try to convince everyone winning a single first round series over 7 years is an accomplishment of some sort, right?

Well it is isn't it?

Based on this Cup should be going to Toronto when some of their offspring are in the line-up. Maybe marner can start on that now?

We aren’t lucky enough to have those who claim they “will jump ship”, to actually do it. They’ll be back with the same complaints and threats of leaving next year.

What will happen if “losing starts to hit the bottom line’ ?
Unclear. I am not sure it is even possible. But I would assume the leash on the management and players would be severely shortened.

Seems to me any of these types of things, in any sport, starts late.

Sounds impulsive, not sure that's the right approach either.

Lots of factors that go into this sort of stuff - media availability, setup, technical stuff, etc.
