End of Season Media Availability - Management ( 10 PST)

Tom is going to back to school because his agent prob saw the defence line-up and sees there is absolutely no room for him right now.

I think his agent and Tom wants to get traded for a better opportunity.

There's 100% opportunity here for him, that's crazy talk. If you can't beat Mancini out for a spot there's not many places in the NHL you will be able to play unless your team is trash.

I think Rutherford, in his answers to the Miller/Pettersson questions, is creating a whole lot more questions than answers.

I actually don't mind the answer he gave.

Whatever the reason may be, getting into more of it will result in nothing good. And as with everything else, it's likely multifactorial and of course there will be those who will amplify a singular factor, based on their own biases, and then the whole narrative will turn into another shitshow. What I'm hoping is that the team objectively and calmly look at the event, and see what can be done in the future to avoid it, and what can be done to mitigate it if such event happened again.

He doesn't fit Mancini's role, he doesn't want to play 10 mins a game when he can go to a rebuilding team and play 15-20 mins a game.

It's not so much that - but speaking so glowingly of Miller, the guy you dealt, while being quite critical of Pettersson, the guy you kept, is leaving me scratching my head.

I think if JT was 6 years younger Petey would've been shown the door instead.

They made the deal with the expectation that any deal would move the team's contention window back a year or two, and now have to work with Petey to get his offseason work habits to the next level as Miller would've likely declined by then.

I think it'll look better to not speak ill of former players so readily after the season. He did mention that Miller was getting very anxious very quickly, which is all the information I need.

Both Miller and Pete should feel deeply ashamed for turning disagreements into a fiasco.
