I use that all the time for set list research...the times aren't always there, sadly, but it's my first stop!
I am just guessing it's out of respect for the openers. Especially if the advertised opening acts are TBD, or they have openers that were never listed at all.

With social media what it is now though, I assume there are reddit threads detailing every second of every big tour.

I get it though. I haven't been to a general admission show in ages, and I'm not so sure my body would hold up anyway. I need a seat at some point, and I don't care to be banged around for four hours

Oh I totally get it.

But I'm old, went out on a Wednesday, and want to complain about it.

That’s also a problem, and one that a few friends and I have been complaining about for as long as i can remember. The Boston area NEEEEEEVER seems to get Friday/Saturday shows. New York, Chicago, LA…they get all the special nights and big events for everything. MARCIA MARCIA MARCIA

Comcast is still doing work in my area. Lost internet about an hour ago.

Thankfully my phone hot spot seems to be strong enough to fuel work and, more importantly, streaming my cable service.

Doing work on cable should be illegal during March madness.

That's impressive. I can get into work emails with a hotspot, and if I'm patient enough I can usually remote in and open an app or two. It may take a few attempts, and will probably lose connection within a couple minutes, but it's usually just enough to troubleshoot one small piece at a time.

Streaming would probably be impossible

I used to say the two best steaks I ever had were from Capital in Boston. I say two, because I couldn't finish it and had to bring it back up to temp again the next day and it was STILL that good.

Others might have it beat, but Capital was the first eye opener for me.

Tornado in Madison WI
Stockholders in Weymouth
Smith & Wollensky in Boston, but I would rule this out because it was dumb expensive for what it was. So f***ing delicious, but I don't need to be blowing that sort of scratch on a dinner. Unless, like, other things are, nevermind.

Fogo de Chao has phenomenal meat and that salad bar is icing on the cake. Well worth the price. They are opening one in OKC within the next year and I am excited. Nearest Ruth's Chris is Tulsa 2.5 hrs north.

Is that a Brazilian joint? All you can eat with the green/red cards?

There’s one of those out here in Dartmouth, same style just a different company. So good. Last i went was just before Covid, and i think it was $37 for dinner. I imagine it’s gone up considerably.

The Picanha is the best.

Fogo de Chao is a tremendous experience if you know what you're doing (i.e. not filling up on the lesser cuts of meat like chicken and salad bar). They direct you to the salad bar first to fill up your plate and the servers bring chicken and sausage around to the table way more frequently than the prime rib or Picanha. If you hold out on them you can get your money's worth. Basically get a modest salad and some fruit, but go to town on the Brazilian cheese bread and cuts of beef and you're in for a great time.

Love the Capital Grille too. My first job out of college I worked for a vendor onsite at a reseller and our channel manager used to take us to the one in Chestnut Hill a couple of times a month. We loved when she would come onsite because that mean we'd be eating far better than we normally did.

One of my favorite places ever was Gibson's in Chicago. Not only was it ridiculously good food, but they also shot the tv show The League there, so we got to quote Rafi the entire dinner...

Exactly!

And don't get me started on paying for Italian food.
Prince spaghetti, a jar of Classico, maybe some chicken or hot sausage, a couple extra ingredients to taste...and off we go. No reason that has to cost $25 for one person when I can do it for 5 at half the cost.

The mark-up on pasta is absurd. Though if a place makes a good Veal Parm and has good ambiance, it might be worth it (because it's very difficult to find veal cutlets at a normal supermarket and the dining experience has value).

Generally though, I've found that I'd rather learn how to cook things at home than go out at this point, especially with inflation hitting restaurants. I got a pasta attachment for the KitchenAid for Christmas, have a Roma tomato bush growing in my backyard, and have my Bolognese sauce recipe pretty much down so I can just make my own fancy Italian dinner if I want.

Yup!

As @McGarnagle said, the Picanha is the best. I like to sit in the middle but on the kitchen side if possible. The one trick I was told by one of the servers was the further you are from the kitchen, ask for rare because the meat is still cooking.

Did the Brazilian in Mertle Beach in NC. Cook came out and was hanging with us all night once he found out the eight of us were Portuguese. We were well taken care of. He even made something’s special for us. Told us all about him and how he came here to the US. Great great chef. Great time. No salad or condiments or fillers. Strictly meat and wine. I was worried about it as I never just eat meat with nothing else. We’ll I woke up with no problems or was full. That pineapple!!!!!!!

That sounds awesome, and a nice piece of advice too!
