No way he should be suspended. Dumb play with a bad result, but a suspension would be going overboard. Ref made the correct call and that should be where it ends.

The DF Dub
Spezza ended up with a broken nose. The major will suffice seeing as Spezza did turn at the last second. No suspension warranted here.

WAT? U think this deserves 3 games? I'm sorry but this is all on Spezza, he even tries to embellish(force of contact would in NO WAY propel him like that) to sell the call. Fortunately the glass outsmarted him this time.

So he broke his own nose to sell the call?

Just wish players would learn not to turn towards the boards at the last second. The other player hasn't got time to re-act.

Unfortunate play, Emelin even flinches when he sees the replay, there was no intent to hurt Spezza there

Guys a piece of trash always trying to injure people. But the NHL always let's off their favorite team.

No, looks like Spezza was cut by his visor. I have my doubts on this check. Spezza looks almost like he knows what will happen. Much like Ference on McDonagh a few years ago, Ference got 3 games though.

Penalty given was fine with crosscheck to the back and an injury occurring. Wasn't malicious. Anything more than a game suspension would be overkill.
