Hopefully the flu or something and not that EP took one good vintage EP shot and his entire body immediately fell apart.
Sounds like it's not too serious
Yeah they have dates on tweets, just figured that one out?bRO from 1:46 PM · Jan 8, 2023 get pucked dude
I thought you ignored me that didn't last longOh he absolutely has been out playing Miller.
Miller looks like a ghost of his former self after his extended personal leave.
Technically he didn't, Myers not being able to stop Pinto on a 1 on 1 battle was weak, Lankinen should of actually stopped that puck in OT, even Rick Bowness thought that, now did Miller not play defensively good yes not denying that, but he was far from the reason they lost the game lol.He literally cost us the last game… you can keep the glasses.
I haven't been in the loop. Just spend the best part of 2 hours going through this entire thread.
If you can get the media to shut up, it probably won't be a problem keeping both Miller and Petterson on the team, but if you're going to let media scum bring it up daily, it will make the issue unbearable an force a trade, which you guys really don't want
No way you guys are trading Miller and it's so unusual to see a team get good value in a trade for a player as good as Petterson.
You could end up getting as much value for him as Edmonton got for Hall, which is obviously unacceptable.
Shaq and Kobe hated each other, but we're able to put their differences aside and play together on the same court and go on to win .
I'm not sure that is the case. Most people in the local media are considered nice people and reflective of most people's perception of Vancouver. Basically, aside from Sekeres, there's not a lot of hate or controversy. Why is it just accepted that the Van media is some insane monster?
I really do not see it. It is rather tame and vanilla when compared to any other major sport in North America...
It is very rare that anyone asks a question that makes a player or coach or gm even some what uncomfortable.

I moved to North Van right before the Luongo trade. Why is it just accepted that the Van media is some insane monster?

I dont understand..I moved to North Van right before the Luongo trade.
After Lu's first home loss, tons of drunkards were calling in to after game radio to talk about what a huge mistake but was to acquire him. The duo hosting the show did nothing to refute their opinions or insinuate that Luongo was a top 2 goalie in the world.
At that moment, I truly understood that I would never support the Canucks.
I wouldn't have lasted through either of the Oilers' dark ages with media like that.
And that somehow helps you be a fan?Don't mean to toot Edmonton's horn. Their media was delusional with positivity through some pretty rough years.

Hasn't it always been the other way around? The media isn't willing to ask hard questions often enough, and functions more like an extension the management group's PR team? Especially during the Benning era.Why is it just accepted that the Van media is some insane monster?

Boeser goal from Hughes was started by Miller picking off a pass at the boards and then a net drive that had 2 defenders get stuck with him that left a wide open Boeser for a tap in.Again… lank would not have had to make the save if miller played either play better… Myers would not have had to make a play if miller played it better… they were two primary mistakes…
Cool story I guess?I moved to North Van right before the Luongo trade.

Hughes goal was PDG knocking Chabot off the puck then Miller coming in to battle winning the puck sending it to Garland who relayed to Hughes who blasted his shot and it went in directly because Miller went to the net and screened the goalie
The SH goal was 2 90ft precision passes timed perfectly. Bad read sure as he tried the pick off and missed it
Sanderson is a world class speedster. He got a step and weak goaltending didnt help. Tried to catch Sanderson but he's just too fast. That's 3v3 sometimes
The Pinto around Myers goal had nothing to do with Miller
Fair to say we wouldn't have been in the game without Miller setting up 2 goals to begin with?
Others had their chance to help create goals and didn't.

IF Pettersson was to be traded ....
The usual result is the team getting the player wins the trade.
Thorton - Bruins - San Jose, tough to say but SJ - this was never a trade offered throughout the league though.
Lindros - Quebec/Colorado - Flyers - maybe closer to a tie with Colorado winning longer term.
Gretzky - Oilers - Kings - winner Kings but Oilers did win another cup, Kings stuffed the arena.
Just mentioned a few of the biggest names traded but there are many more.
IMO IF Pettersson was dealt if might not be expecting too much less than maybe the Lindros type return.
Multiple firsts, top four Dman or top six forward, 2 AAA prospects.
Not limited to that combination but close to that value.
One issue might be what managements plan is going forward, would they want say a Dobson level dman? Would they want another Dahlin if made available or Powers? Zadorov has gone on to become a top pairing in Boston or top 3 anyway but management didn't want that player or thought 5 mil is too much. So does that limit the return?
