He’s legit 2C

That face -off leading to Peeke goal was money
Quietly, he has improved the faceoff situation in key moments. He will continue to improve.

I'd actually love a deep dive into where and how he scores his goals. Are they 'playoff' style goals that are hard to come by, while Frederic (this is purely an example) is getting a 2 on 1 from the blue line for his goal which is a lot harder to come by?

Is he simply the 'correction' in the sense that when we say 'goals are harder to come by in the playoffs' we see the huge drop off of Zacha's goal production because he scores 'regular season goals'?

People often speak of Marner in these terms. How he scores (or in the past) in the regular season when the Leafs were up by a couple of goals, the pressure was off, or the opponent was inferior.

Suddenly, the Leafs media machine fires up the first round, they face a playoff top calibre team with a strong defensive system (strong enough to make the playoffs) and goals dry up.

BUT, Lindholm continues to score tips and rebounds down in front or drives to the net and takes a hit but brings the opposition D with him into the low slot (creating a screen and traffic in front) and his numbers remain the same.

Will this happen again? We talk about a players game 'translating' to playoff hockey. There's a reason why half of Vancouver would rather keep Miller over Pettersson because one of them showed up last playoffs while the other didn't.

I was at centre ice for the comeback game vs. Edmonton. The name J.T. Miller was screamed and applauded over and over that night.

This is a long explanation as to why I believe the best of Lindholm's game may be on display right now, but it becomes a valuable asset and key role when the rules change in the playoffs.

Oh yeah - that should help him get out of his slump. I swear - some of the stuff that gets tossed around here is completely embarrassing. :thumbd:
Slump, this guy stinks big time. Can’t feel too bad because if Sweeney offered any of us that kind of coin we would not blink and the contract would be signed

39 points pace while playing on PP1.
Only Sweeney is stupid enough to overpay for 40 points guy with NMC as a cherry on top.

He probably waives to go back to Vancouver make the deal for Miller before it's too late.
We can only hope

Well there was quite a fan base that was all over getting this guy, so they should have a lot of egg on their face.

Needs something to work with - Litteri and an injured Marchand are tough ingredients to cook a top line from
Nothing against Vinnie, and his speed is refreshing, but why are we not playing a guy that looked like he was coming alive and finally potted his first goal and the line he was playing very well.

Adding the condition that he's on PP1 for the Bruins as a reason that he should have more points isn't the argument that you think it is. The PP is historically bad this year and I wouldn't put the majority of the blame on Lindholm. As good as Pasta has been the past week, he has been a turnover machine this season and McAvoy can't carry a puck into the zone (he just isn't a PPQB).

Even with the struggles of the players, their issues on the PP appear to be more on coaching than individual players though -> The only play they run when Pasta is on the ice is "move the puck around slowly until you can feed Pasta from a bad angle for a one-timer, which the goalie is prepared for. They approach the PP passive and cycle the puck around the boards too much - when a PK plays aggressive on the puck, they create turnovers against this approach more often than not. At least PP2 tries to be creative while carrying the puck and actually throws it on net with bodies in front. Lohrei has been getting a ton of hate, but he carries the puck and opens passing / shooting lanes better than anyone else on this team.

I'm an EL fan ....still rooting for him to shine more offensively...defensively hes been as advertised...but yesterday he was not good, neither was his linemate Brad.

Guy gagged big time on 4th Senators goal holding on too long to puck.
Killed an earlier PP with god awful pass in #63 skates.

If new CBA allows a buyout he is it

Demoted to the 3rd line this morning
25 games late but better late than never.

I actually think he could thrive in this role. It's where Vancouver played him and he was heroic for them in the playoffs. Yeah, he's making a lot of money for a '3rd liner' but if this is where he can be effective and contribute, so be it.
