I'm sure this has been had before but doesn't appear anywhere recently.

To Rangers

Eichel

To Sabres

Strome
Georgiev
Kakko
1st

Sabres get a big haul for their no. 1 guy. Addressing issues in goal and replacing Eichel down the middle with Strome. Plus they add a blue chip prospect and a pick.

It may not even require the 1st though its hard to say. Where do you think the value is in this trade?
Is this a joke? Jack Eichel will cost the equivalent of 4 1st round picks, Sorry but that's not 4 1st round picks or anywhere close to it. Kevyn Adams will probably want Alexis Lafreniere as a starter in any deal for Jack Eichel.

Neither team does this. I certainly wouldn't trade Laf or Kak for Eichel

I hope you mean you wouldn’t move them with the additional pieces necessary to get Eichel cause in a 1-1 Eichel holds way more value than Kakko

Some people base their armchair GM perspective around EA sports NHL series. Eichel is a bonafide 1C and Top 10-15 Center in the entire league. Kakko and Laf have the *potential* to be a 1W but neither is even remotely close to that. Imagine trading a bonafide 1C locked up for 5 years for a prospective 1W that doesn't pan out.

That's why these forums are just discussions for fun. Can't take them too seriously

Well he had a pace of 96 pts last year

Tied for 10th and a "pace" gets you a jar of picante sauce.

Whether it's because he's injured every year or what, he never puts up superstar production. I don't want my team giving up even half of what Buffalo will ask for AND give up 10 mil in cap space for a broken/fragile winger who never ranks among the top of the league.

You mean Hall is overrated and Eichel was hurt this year.

Yes it really does work that way.

Hall has always put up points no matter where he has gone. Eichel wasn't hurt all year and after the first 3 games he put up i think 8 points in 18 games or something like that. Sorry putting 2 players together doesn't always increase their production.

Even if the increase in point production was 20 or 30 points it doesn't offset losing 2 top tier prospects on ELCs plus added over 5 mill in cap. Your trade proposal is silly.

NYR would trade both in a package, happily.
Lol what?

These proposals are nuts. No thanks on Eichel in general. If he were able to make a noticeable positive difference on a growing team, the Sabres wouldn’t still be in the basement with him as captain and 1C for years. He’ll put points on the board, and that’s definitely worth something, but NYR don’t really need and aren’t really built to add a huge money player who scores and contributes little else.

That B is not really true but have fun believing so! I will enjoy my wingers enjoy trying to win the lottery the 3rd time in 5 years

*whispers*

the Rangers are going to be in the lottery too

and if you don't think Hughes has shown WAY more than Kakko, you're just clueless unfortunately.

Imagine trading multiple top tier prospects for a midling 1C and have them pan out. Think Lindros trade. Yeah your take is just an armchair GM too plus it lacks salary cap implications. Pretty much sums up an EA game view.

Hall had 2 goals and has always been an overrated player. There is a reason why 31 teams went bleep you to Hall for a long term deal. He is a Robin but no where near a Batman. Playing on Boston line 2 when perfect line gets the attention is a good role for Hall. Not 2nd best player on a team. As 2nd best player, Hall more exposure than Cinemax at 2 a.m.

There were rumors of Eichel being hurt LONNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG before he sat out the year. Sorry but overrated Hall + injured Eichel + the suxatude of Sabers in general = declining stats. If this is not the views of a team's gm they won't acquire Eichel.

Of course better linemates and better coaching = less attention to you plus better chemistry and better stats for you. To deny this is silly. There are less than 10 players in the league this does not apply to. Hedman as example.

It wasn't even a rumor, the Sabres announced he was injured during training camp.

Yea overrated players win Hart trophies all the time. Btw have you looked at that devils team? Who was the Batman on that team? Teams passed on him because of the flat cap. No one had the money to sign him.

Now if you want to say he isn't a winner sure but whats Eichel won? Yup
